My Darling Dance with Me

Echoes from the Sea

His footprints of long ago, now lived in the sea,

Beside his loving memories of me.

Time passes though an hourglass one grain of

sand at a time,

Passionate love flows slowly---like fine wine---to

make ones heart chime.

We danced here on the sea sand with bodies

pressed so close and knitted,

His masterful lips---so ample and dexterous---with

mine were so fitted.

His dark eyes shined with love as their warmth caressed

my cool face,

Once here with him was joyous---because we first met in---

another time---and place.

We walked and talked on the beach as lovers do,

While the sand shifted under our feet---it filled with

sea water---of blue.

His raven hair so black it shined blue in the night,

From the flickering brightness that danced across

the waves in the twilight.

One lock of my golden hair---braided and tied with a

blue ribbon---around his wrist,

Wrapped forever there and constantly got kissed.

Looking Out to Sea for My Darling

Looking Out to Sea for My Darling

His strong hands so gentle and kind---held mine closely to his heart,

While I prayed we would never again---part.

Ever had a time so perfect and prayed it would forever last?

Time stands still for no one---soon now---will be the past.

Memories are like honeyed swords that stabs the heart---so sweetly,

My mind recorded his touch as my body registered it so neatly.

I can live alone completely,

As I wait for my lover to return from the sea---discreetly.

I walk alone at twilight---feeling the waves kiss my ankles,

My heart will never be free---it is heavy with my lover’s shackles.

I anticipate his return---but knowing it will never be,

The hurricane of 1415 took him away from me.

A bottle washed ashore in 1435---a note inside said,

If you find this my Darling---the sea is telling you I am dead.

And folded in the note I found,

A braided lock of golden hair--- with a blue ribbon it was bound.

And the note also said---My love is forever yours,

To my precious Darling ---to thee my heart adores.

He Visits Me in My Dreams

His blues eyes haunt me still,

And, I am sure they always will.

His lips spread light kisses over my face,

Our love reached the depths of me---adhering in the right place.

Each shell I press to my ear,

His roaring voice wants me near.

So one night I will walk into the sea,

He will return for me.

Thank you. Some of my favorite dresses were made in India. I wore them when I still had a career.

Stay Safe.

LOVE AND THE SEA

BY

ROBERT HEWETT SR.

I wonder as I wander the sand by the sea

Will the Mermaids explain everything to me?

They must know all there is about finding true love,

They are in communion with the moon high above.

Can a falling star bring a message to the sea?

There are no obstacles as far as I can see.

Please Mermaids come and sit by me upon the sand.

I am right here, I will lend you a helping hand.

Let the friendly moonbeams shine right into my heart.

Help cupid send an arrow to light a true spark.

I wonder as I wander by the foamy sea,

Are there any Mermaids and Moonbeams there for me?

I will be back to read more. I hope you find something interesting on my page. Happy New Year
