Create Your Favorite Lists on Listofied and Earn Passive Income Online

Lena Kovadlo is a writer for various content-sharing websites. She's an author of 12 books and helps other authors publish theirs.

Earn Passive Income Online by Publishing Lists

In life there is always a need for some sort of a list - whether it'd be what to buy at the supermarket, what to pack for that trip, what restaurants to go to for dinner on your vacation or something else.

If you are the type of person that loves to create lists you can actually earn passive income online by publishing them online. There is a new site out there that I recently joined called Listofied that lets people make money online by publishing lists.

If you publish lists, however, you can't just list things and stop there. You have to actually add relevant content to each bullet. For example, if you create a list of your favorite movies you can't just list the names of the movies and publish the list. You have to also write something about each movie in the list, whether it'd be a summary, a review or something else. So, your lists can't just list stuff. They also have to expand on it.

You can create a list for just about anything. You can create how-to lists, top lists, best lists, worst lists. You can create those that discuss the easiest ways of doing something, or reasons for doing something. The possibilities are endless, so you will never run out of lists. All you have to do is get creative and may even browse through lists created by others to get ideas on what to write about yourself.

What's the Format for Listofied Lists?

There doesn't seem to be one set format for Listofied lists. If you are not sure how to create one you can look at lists that have already been published on the site. One possible format can be something like this:

A few brief lines summarizing the list.

Then the actual list with relevant content.

#1 - first bullet title in heading style
content relevant to #1

#2 - second bullet title in heading style
content relevant to #2

#3 - third bullet title in heading style
content relevant to #3

and so on...

I believe you can also create un-numbered bullets; that is use circles, etc. in place of numbers.

The minimum word count for any type of list post is 100 words.

How Do You Earn on Listofied?

You make money on Listofied from Google ads. When someone clicks on any of the ads displayed on your list pages you will earn something, be it in cents or in dollars. How much you will earn will depend on the cost per click of that ad. You may also earn from ad impressions. In this case no ad clicks are necessary as you get paid for ads being displayed on your list pages.

To be able to earn anything on Listofied you need to have an active Google AdSense account. If you do then you will have to paste some AdSense code into your Listofied account. If you don't have a Google AdSense account you will have to apply for one but before you can do that you have to have already published content. So, before you apply you will have to publish some lists. I am not sure how many lists you'll have to publish but I'd think at least ten would do the trick.

Since you earn on Listofied with Google AdSense, Google will actually be the one to pay you not Listofied. Therefore, you will need to earn $100 before you can get paid. Good thing is, if you already have a valid Google AdSense account that you use on other websites you will have more income coming in from other sources and hence will reach the payout faster than you would with Listofied income alone.

Why Should You Publish Your Lists on Listofied?

You don't have to publish your lists on Listofied but it's a good idea to do so because this site is designed specifically for lists. Also, Listofied is owned and operated by Harlow-McGaw Media, the same people that own and run Daily Two Cents and Writedge, both of which pay writers for publishing articles. This reliable team of people will answer all your questions quickly. So, if you have any problems with publishing lists, the website itself, or have any other questions, you will be able to get the answers and help you need without having to wait for days. You may even get a reply the instant you post an inquiry. All you have to do is join the Harlow-McGaw Media Support Group on Facebook and post your questions there.

I am not sure. I have not been to the site in a while.

Natalie Frank from Chicago, IL on July 12, 2018:

Is listified still operating? The site hasnt been updated since 2016 which is the most recent article.

Lana Adler from California on January 06, 2016:

Oh, I see. Well, it'd be interesting to get on the ground floor of this up-and-coming site!

Lena Kovadlo (author) from Staten Island, NY on January 06, 2016:

Well, Listofied lets you earn with AdSense, so there really is no payout to reach on this site. Earnings from here will just help you get your AdSense earnings to $100 min faster.

Lena Kovadlo (author) from Staten Island, NY on January 06, 2016:

You can also try writing for DailyTwoCents. You earn with AdSense there. Posts only 100 word minimum.

Lana Adler from California on January 06, 2016:

Just checked out Listofied and came across one of your lists about HP. Cool! I wonder how long it would take to get to the first payout...

Lana Adler from California on January 06, 2016:

Interesting... Besides HubPages, I've only had one other writing account (on Bubblews, once upon a time, what a disaster) so I just might branch out! I like the idea of writing shorter posts, hubs take so much time and effort. Thanks for sharing Lena!

Angela Joseph from Florida on August 21, 2015:

I have a Google Adsense account but this is the first I'm hearing of Listofield. I'll check it out. Thanks for sharing.

Lena Kovadlo (author) from Staten Island, NY on July 18, 2015:

I never thought I'd reach my first Google payout but I did. Now I am on to my second one. Just like the first time I have doubts of ever reacing it but since I did reach the first one maybe I will reach the second one too and hopefully before I am old and gray.

Karen A Szklany from New England on July 16, 2015:

Thank you for sharing this, Lovebuglena! I will check it out.

Glad to know that I can now have 2 sources of income from Google Adsense, and perhaps I may still be alive when I finally receive my first Google payout. ~:0)

Susan Hazelton from Northern New York on July 16, 2015:

This sounds very interesting. I think I will check it out.

B. Leekley - Thanks for the info about WorkFlowy.

Brian Leekley from Bainbridge Island, Washington, USA on July 15, 2015:

Lena, WorkFlowy at workflowyDOTcom is a Web-based computer software utility program for making lists. I began with the free version many months ago and used it so much that I got the pro version. I've used it to make my to-do lists, grocery shopping list, car trip list, knapsack office list, books to read if I get around to it list, what my wife wanted for Christmas list, and lots more lists. But I discovered that WorkFlowy is also very handy for developing the first drafts of articles. Lists, notes, articles are all actually one big list that can be collapsed to a few lines, and it is all automatically saved in the background to my DropBox. Give the free version a try. WorkFlowy is now also available as a Chrome app, an Apple iTunes app, and an Android app on Google Play. I anticipate that WorkFlowy would be handy to write a Listofied article containing a list with as much detail and explanation as desired. Then click the Export command, copy and paste into your favorite word processing program, proofread, and copy and paste into a new hub.

poetryman6969 on July 15, 2015:

I need to check this out. Some very interesting information indeed.

Lena Kovadlo (author) from Staten Island, NY on July 15, 2015:

cam8510 - I've only done a few posts there so far. Really have to get into it. I seem to be blocked at the moment when I try to write something.

Lena Kovadlo (author) from Staten Island, NY on July 15, 2015:

frankcofrah - You can still write/publish on Listofied without a Google AdSense account but you won't be able to earn anything.

Lena Kovadlo (author) from Staten Island, NY on July 15, 2015:

B. Leekley - What is WorkFlowy? I never heard of this. Wonder how this can be used on Listofied...

Chris Mills from Traverse City, MI on July 14, 2015:

This is very interesting. I'll check it out. Thanks for sharing.
