Stand Tall for Those Things Which Matter; Don't Fall for Those Things Which Do Not
Politics aside, there is much more to me. I am passionate about many things and those are the things which sustain me.
Taking a fall or taking a stand?
How are you doing citizens of America?
Are you in a good place and are you comfortable with our current course of inaction in some areas and action in others, under the current Administration?
What a wild ride we find ourselves on, not much seems to be going our way or going in our favor these days, or do you see it differently?
So many forces working against us, in order to keep us down and to make sure that is where we stay; compliant, in our place, under the thumb of our Government!
Would you argue me with me on that?
Do you see things differently?
Are you freely living your American dream or do you find yourself merely existing in fear?
Do you feel coerced by a Government which is supposed to be representing you and your best interest and are you angry about it or have you placed all of your trust in them, because that's where you find your solace?
You look to Government; you trust your Government, no matter what?
Or, have you actively taken a stand, as you attempt to take your life back and fight for your future, for your children's future, your grandchildren's, your Country's?
The poem shared below represents my mindset, where I'm at and what I'm thinking.
There's nothing to think about, there are no gray areas!
Under My Thumb
Holding On Firmly
I will wisely and firmly hold onto those things which sustain me
rather than fall for deceptive things which seek to intrigue me, trap me, hurt and may...destroy me
It has been said, "if we stand for nothing, we fall for anything"
I don't think that has ever been truer than today; lies we're fed, the chaos it does bring
We're asked to go against everything we believe
To forget about every notion, that on our own, through living, we perceive
All of the things which strengthen us and get us through the day
Now are to be cast aside, as the enlightened ones, attempt to control what we do and what we say
God the Father himself...reduced to a vague, insignificant, alternate interpretation
The meaning of words change in the blink of an eye, all in the name of justification
Parents; a Father and a Mother, made a laughing stock, a joke, a ruse
Genders, of which there are but two, magically multiplied, used against our children, designed to control and confuse
Learning has been reduced to self-loathing or loathing of others, depending on their hue
Children are still taught, but in many cases, they are taught to fear and hate, as they collect their marching papers, taking their P.C. cue
Our Country, founded nearly 250 years ago, now portrayed by many, as a mistake, an error, a failed test
Socialism is the way, the liberal tenured Professor replaces God, for only they alone know what is best
No thank you, I will go in chains, before I drink such a deadly concoction
No one or nothing else will ever replace my heavenly Father, nor his Son
For the trail it has been blazed,
the path it has been laid
I'll place my trust in God, read his Word, especially the words in red
For Jesus Christ set my course, he paid the price, in my stead
You've Got To Stand For Something
Loving and Treasuring LIFE
I'll never apologize for honoring the wisdom of my Father, respecting my Mother, giving birth, loving one man
Nor will I apologize for passing on my thoughts and my beliefs on to my kids and... wherever and whenever I can
I'll never make excuses for treasuring LIFE, speaking out for those without a voice
When it comes down to a matter of innocent life, there should never be - a choice
I will stand up for what I believe in, including the National Anthem and the American Flag, I refuse to live in fear, I am not afraid
For I will never forget what they both represent, nor the major price which has been paid
Our flag, it has suffered, it has been mocked and it is frayed
But so many of us aren't giving up, we have not surrendered, nor have we strayed
Thanks but no thanks...I'll not be falling for anything
For the things which I believe in...sustain me and prepare me for whatever the morrow might bring!
We know where we stand, we know what is at stake -
Heavenly Father, come close and please do not forsake!
Amen

Thanks. I'm so all over the place. Not enough time for all the things I want to do! And yet I try to do them all. Never gonna learn, I guess. LOL. You have a great weekend too.

I've added it Shannon. I had almost forgotten, I've used it before, it was a few years back.
Enjoy the weekend, I hope that you can get caught up with your articles.

Eric, I have said it before and will say it again and again. I don't care what others may think or say about me...only what God knows about me!
Have a great weekend, we are finally having some cooler weather this weekend, here on the RIGHT coast. ;) It is absolutely beautiful!

Great quote to write your convictions around! Of course, the first thing I think of is the Aaron Tippin song chorus. Would you expect anything else from me? LOL. It fits well with what you've shared. Although, I do love "What a Wonderful World," too.
"You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything
You've got to be your own man, not a puppet on a string
Never sacrifice what's right and uphold your family name
You've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything"
