Thank You for the song Phil

9/6/2014

All my life I have followed the flow of the waters around me. Thru thrashing waves and violent storms, I floated refusing to sink and in the depths of the deepest and darkest of places I found my true light. I found who I was and discovered a spirit that could not remain broken for too long. I have been carried thru waters that turned from clear to green to red into worlds and thru stories that would fill my spirit with hope and love or test my will to its breaking point and still I drifted unaware of where it would all lead. Now having been tested and weighed the colors of the water change again. Having seen so much on my way, I assumed that I had seen all the beauty these waterways held for me. I felt honored and content and intended to peacefully enjoy my surroundings before the flow carried me away again. I intended to lay back and enjoy the beauty hidden in the power of the storm, when the time came for them to pass, until it was time to meet the storm that would consume me. And when it came time to be pitched into the darkness again, I would shine the light that exists in me and lovingly heal myself until the strength in me was able to carry me out as it had before. As much beauty as I have seen, it would seem that I would be allowed to see much more for the tide has pulled me here and plunged me into the pool of blue waters and the radiant light that poor out of your eyes. Tho I have been created never able to see too far ahead of me there is no waterway for me to float down that is untouched by your light. I am warmed. I am engulfed by the beauty of this world. Wrapped in its glow and in awe of its utopian air. The reality that surrounds this and all worlds, the one that insistently and sometimes violently reminds us that there can be no beauty and light without the existence of darkness, seems to be easier to face in these blue waters.

Wonderful vocalcoach. Thank you for being a fan. Honestly, I went thru a lot of mermaids before finding this one. Would love to credit the artist if I ever find the name.

deep is an understatement.. as much as the need to use the word profound... and I love the last few lines.. ( The reality that surrounds this and all worlds, the one that insistently and sometimes violently reminds us that there can be no beauty and light without the existence of darkness, seems to be easier to face in these blue waters. )
