A Love Poem of Strength: Love Is Awesome in Its Splendor

Cynthia - a freelance writer and amateur photographer believing in the power of words, the magic of storytelling in poetry, prose or photos.

What Is the Poetry of a Man's Love?

Poetry has the ability to move the immovable. It is a special language that has the power to shape worlds, to create or destroy countries and to melt hearts. It is the language of love; it is the language of hate. It is the language of conciliation; it is the language of change. It is a language that might explain the depths and vagaries of a man's love more easily than speaking.

As the language of love, poetry can express what millions may not be able to freely express to the object of their desire. But when expressed, it can open the eyes of a potential lover, helping them to see the depth of passion and longing. It can be the very aid a man needs to "capture" his love and feel the splendor.

To set the mood, listen as you read.

Awesome in Its Splendor

She is the daughter of the Moon,

She is the sister to the Sun.

With arms flung open to the Universe

Grasping hungrily for the highest, brightest stars,

She gave birth to our love.

awesome-in-its-splendor-a-poem-of-loves-strength

Her breath is the breeze

That gently kisses my cheek; she is content.

When betrayed,

Her breath is the hurricane

Howling her pain, scattering my peace

To the farthest constellation.

Still, love watches patiently as

Her hair spreads and ripples

Like the undulating waves of the ocean.

Her love ebbs and flows like the tides

pulled by her sister Moon.

I am victim of the vagaries of love,

As we are hapless victims of nature.

Chaotic in its order,

Awesome in its splendor,

Overwhelming in its timelessness,

I am Lover, I am Confidante, I am Mate.

Hi CyberCyndi10Out of Ten:

You make the universe an ever faster expanding love

Giving it immense dimension

It travels faster than light and settles for a moment

Rewarding those that recognise its moment in time

Endless in nature for our earthly love moment

Am in awe of your dimension for love.
