Astromancy

Mankind has been seeking truth among the stars for eons. The mystical sky and the magic of the stars must have seemed so powerful and influential to the ancient humans. They sought to read their future, their love life and their fortunes through the planetary motions and stars of their birth.

Do you believe that the stars are powerful entities glowing down on us mortals from the sky, affecting who we are and what we do? Or do you believe they are balls of fire and light left behind in space by an explosion long, long ago.

Do you seek to predict your lovelife through planetary readings with its zodiacal ascensions and descents? Or do you cultivate love and affection, empathy and understanding, good manners and kindness so that you may attract the one that you love?

Have you ever sought the solace in the stars when seeking your love? Felt you are going through a 'bad' phase because the stars decided so?

Whether you have or not, you may warm to the following song that wishes for a better future with a chosen one.

Spanish Artist German Aracil has such talent in blending pastels on paper to create light and shadows. His colourful renders of people and places seek to sear a bright trail in the back of your eye, just like a passing comet.

Only, unlike a meteor, they stay in your memory sky a lot longer.

Tell my fortune

Will you tell my fortune

Trace my lines

Will you show me which way

My star shines

Will you read my future

See my planets align

Do they tell you darling, if

You will be mine

Long have I gazed

Upon faraway stars

Wishing longing

For my Princess of Mars

Clues I don’t have

Reason is sparse

Why does love feel

Like I’ve been in wars

Will you tell my fortune

Trace my lines

Will you show me which way

My star shines...

What message does

My zodiac send

Does the nightsky whisper

A positive trend

Will my love life

be on the mend

As Saturn slips

and Venus Ascends?

Will you tell my fortune

Trace my lines

Will you show me which way

My star shines...

You’re the polestar

That guides my heart

You’re what makes my

Life restart

I want a place

In your star chart

Share your dreams

And play a loving part

Will you tell my fortune

Trace my lines

Will you show me which way

My star shines

Will you read my future

See my planets align

Do they tell you darling, if

You will be mine...

German Aracil

Contemporary artist German Aracil was born in Alicante, Spain in 1965. His passion for art at a very young age led him eventually to the San Carlos School of fine art at Valencia. He developed his vibrant and vivacious style while there. His primary passion was in the multiple possibilities of Pastel. He loved the way the pastel pigment brought light to the canvas.

The colours of Spain emanate through his artwork. He held his first one man show at his home town in 1985 and was soon followed by shows in New York and Miami.

He enjoys great success across Spain, Portugal, France USA, and South America. His growing body of work displays a great eye for detail, abundance of colour and a dance of light and shadows.
