~ Just You ~

V1/ Sea-shy sky,

Oceans of fire,

Didst whisper thee,

My sweet desire.

Ancient hills

Rule streams, so clear,

Bear witness, to

Scroll to Continue

Our love, my dear.

V2/ Vivid sights, of

Themes unseen,

So fair,

We'll share

Lost might-have beens.

Promenading; holding hands,

Our carefree hearts

Make no demands.

V3/ The future's ours,

Your dreams, the stars;

We're stellar scenes,

Venus and Mars.

Duchess of love, greets

Captain of war,

One kiss from you,

I'll fight, no more.

V4/ Roam with me,

Through breathless heights,

Warm sunny days,

Long sultry nights.

Walk with me,

Amongst the flowers,

Share happiness,

I know is ours.

V5/ Strolling free,

Through perfumed meadow,

Let's leave this world,

That you, and I know.

Picnic here,

Under your tree,

There's no one there,

Just you and me.

V6/ Worn tyre swings free

From old, roped winch,

Hides cheeping, bobbing,

Baby finch;

Smoked-salmon, fresh cake,

With Beaujolais;

I'll feed you, as we

Laugh, and play.

V7/ Wild poppies, on

Buttercups, my Daisy,

Shall rest your head,

When you grow lazy,

So sleep your sleep,

My pleasant view,

I'll lay, and

Dream your dreams for you.

I love this because it reminds me of love's first delights. It brings all those bright, hopeful feelings to the surface. Enjoyed.

Dearest, Gentle Faith,

Summer is surely here now you are near, and thank you kindly for taking time to read some of the wistful verse laid out out here, which is always appreciated, and certainly hope that you are feeling like the esteemed, and venerable treasure trove which you truly are.

Many thanks for your continued support, and for sharing;your tremendously generous heart is sensationally superfluous.

With Warmest Regards,

What a true delight to read this poem here that I missed from four months ago! So glad you highlighted it on your profile, which it is most deserving of being highlighted. I believe this may very well be my favorite. The flow and rhythm of your wondrous words makes the heart beat faster delightfully.

Enchanting poetry for the heart and soul.

Up and more and sharing

Hugs and blessings, Faith Reaper

Old fashion sentiment you don't see much these days, of romance and a faithful heart. Had to be voted up! : )

This is so beautiful and reminds me of Lord Byron's style of writing. Love it.
