Here are my favorite craft ideas for Valentine's Day and there are more than 15 of them. You and your kids can have all the craft fun you want with these free and easy to make ideas. One of the most popular and well known symbols of Valentine's Day is the heart, and you will see that theme over and over again on this craft project page. Why? Because the heart is my favorite symbol for February 14th.
Flowers, candies, stuffed pets, cards and crafts are all popular around Valentine's Day. You can find some fun ideas on this page. Make them with your kids and you won't only be making the holiday special, you will be making some memories and keepsakes you can keep forever.

Edible heart shaped marshmallow pops are one of the best ideas for a Valentine's Day craft idea. Get some Jet Puffed Heart Mallows, some melting or dipping chocolate, some straw or pop sticks, some heart shaped jimmies and you can also get some candy bags or cellophane to wrap them in. Seal the bags with some curling ribbon.
These pops are easy to make and you can eat them right away if you like. You can make them to give away as a Valentine's Day gift or snack for your family. They taste great, look fabulous and are loads of fun to make. You can use a glass filled with Valentine's Day M&Ms to stand them upright while you make more, just like in the picture.

The Heart Mobile Craft For Kids
The first time I saw a Heart Mobile it was in a Pottery Barn catalog and it was almost 50.00. I fell in love with it but it was just way too much money. That's when I started looking for how to make it myself ideas and I found this one. It's a beautiful decoration, it's easy to make, and it's a great project to create with your kids. You will need lots of heart cut outs, some clear thin thread, and a hoop.

You can make this heart shaped garland and hang it up to decorate your home as a Valentine's Day decoration. You can also give it away as a I Love You gift...I am sure there are plenty of grandparents out there who would enjoy getting one. You will need to visit the howaboutorange.blogspot.com web site to print out the heart shaped templates and get the directions on how to make this pretty craft idea.
Print out the template, cut them out, get some Valentine's Day fabric you like, treat the fabric with some Stiffen Stuff, trace the heart shapes on the treated fabric, cut them out, and assemble just like the directions tell you. It's a great project for February!

You will need:
- A heart cut out
- a piece of paper
- a circle sponge brush
- some paints
- a frame (that's if you want to frame it)

Get a wreath form, some red string and you've got most of the supplies you need to make this easy project. It's a great way to decorate your door for the sweetest holiday of the year. Accordion flowers, hot glue and a hot glue gun, string and some cut out heart shapes complete the craft supplies list.

Puffy Hearts are made with one inch squares of tissue paper, some construction paper, scissors, white craft glue, and a erasered pencil. Valentine's Day Lanterns
To make some of these pretty lanterns you will need:
- Tissue paper in bright and festive holiday colors
- A glass jar
- A mix of 1 part white glue & 2 parts water
- A paint brush
- String or wool
- A pencil
Draw and cut out heart shapes
Paint your jar with the water and glue mixture
Stick your paper hearts on the jar
Once again paint the jar with the water/glue mixture
Put glitter on the jar
wrap string around the neck of the jar. You can use beads to decorate the string as well. Let your jar dry and place a glow stick or an electric tea light inside to make it glow. Pretty, inexpensive and fun.
