'Tis the time again for the wearin' of the green -- St. Patrick's Day!

In 2007, when I first began blogging and creating mini-sites on HubPages, I went looking for free St. Patrick's Day clip art but found very little that I liked. So, now that I know how to make clip art at, I made my own. (Read my Picnik tutorial if you'd like to learn how to make your own clip art.)

The result of my time spent on Picnik is a pretty good cross-section of St. Patrick's Day clip art, which includes Irish flags, an Irishman celebrating with an Irish flag and a beer, leprechauns along with their boots and pipes, shamrocks, four-leaf clovers, green top hats, an old cross and a harp covered in shamrocks, lucky gold coins and pots of gold -- with and without rainbows, green beer and a variety of St. Patrick's Day greetings you can use alone or mix and match with the clip art.

Hi, Wilma.

Scroll to Continue

HubPages won't allow me to paste the link code in a comment so you can just copy and paste it, but you can learn how to make a link in section 6d on this hub:

If you can't figure it out from that, you might want to write something like this on your site:

Hope that helps!

I'd love to use a clip art with an Irish theme for my website contest page but am not sure how to link it to my page. Can you help?

WOW! Thank you so much for all of these resources! I just wrote a Squidoo Lens on how to throw a St. Patrick's Day party, and I'm going to go ahead and add this Hub as a resource on my links list. Seriously, all of this is great and will really help my readers with decorating for their parties! Thank you so much!

Carla Chadwick (author) from Georgia on March 17, 2009:

I'm sure St. Patrick wouldn't approve of that behavior!

chadw1ckwhitfiel on March 17, 2009:

sorry I think it's stupid. i lived in ireland and all they do is drink themselves stupid on st patricks day. (or any other day of the year) and yes, sell some green stuff to visitors. and bash a few heads in if they get the chance.
