Everyone loves a themed party. I offer advice about how to throw a get-together everyone will be talking about until your next one.
Redneck Party Ideas
What type of party are you planning for that upcoming birthday, anniversary, or retirement celebration? Is it going to be the same as always? Why not shake things up a bit and throw a Redneck themed party. It will then be an event that everyone will remember! It is a great time to turn your festivities into something that will be unique, exciting and just downright fun. You can end the Happy Birthday song, for example, with a Whoop, Whoop, Whoop!
Take a look at some of the ideas below for inspiration. I have some costume ideas, redneck party decorations suggestions, and table décor as well. These needn't be expensive just creative. Remember Rednecks aren't known for spending a lot of money. In fact, they may have invented recycling! Who else would use toilets as planters?
Enjoy this page, have a laugh and get inspired.
Redneck Party Invitation
Redneck Party Invitations
For a wide selection of the fun redneck invitations, these will set the theme for your party. Ensure your date doesn't conflict with a friend's party, or it could get ugly fighting for guests.
One thing to note on your invitations is if it is a costume party or if you wish your guests to bring anything. Aim to get your invitations out 3 weeks in advance so you know how many you'll be catering for.
Don't bring out your best china for a Redneck party, No siree! Get some of those reinforced paper plates. You know the kind I mean, the ones that don't let lunch end up in your lap.
Napkins? You must be joking! Get yourself some blue roll, the kind you'll find at a gas station. That paper you use when you wipe the dipstick when you check your oil in your car. Get a roll of that and use this in place of napkins or paper towels. Or go to the charity shop and get old shirts (redneck checked or camouflage of course) cut these up into napkin size and use on the table. Leaving the buttons in place, will get a laugh.
Beer holders are always a plus, especially on a hot day. Choose some that have a Redneck theme.
For decorations, you can select one color scheme such as camouflage items in either green or brown tones. Think of the activities that a redneck loves doing and incorporate that in your decorations. Shooting, hunting, drinking, are all great themes you can build a party around.
Hang out old bras and underwear on the washing line. These could be purchased from the Goodwill or charity shop. Remember nothing fancy, we want redneck attire.
If you have some old toilets, plant some flowers in them, these can, of course, be plastic flowers. This is definitely keeping to the redneck party theme. Bathtubs and other sanitary ware are also acceptable as décor du jour.
Use plastic chairs (broken and repaired is preferred), flower pots turned upside down, old car seats, and tires for seating. Bring in bales of hay as makeshift benches. The wackier the better.
Some Redneck fun
If your guests have never been to a party with a redneck theme, they may ask your advice on what to wear to such an event. I would like to start you off with a few ideas that you can suggest. These will normally spark the imagination and you will be coming up with new ideas with lightning speed.
Let's start with the guys. Overalls and a tank top. This will be topped off with a cap that is either related to trucks, fishing or a gun company. Checked lumberjack shirts work well too. A mullet wig is an option here for the guys.
The girls are even more fun! Think Daisy Duke shorts.
If you don't have the legs for Daisy Duke shorts, try a bright pink velour leisure suit. If your guests are comfortable with it, suggest something too small that allows a bit of fat (commonly called a muffin top) to hang over. Tank tops and spaghetti strap tops are a must and will be sporting a flag, hunting, trucking or dog motif.
Redneck Party Food
- Redneck Party Food
What do rednecks have in common? They all love to eat and drink, usually at someone else's house. So make sure you have plenty of food to feed the hungry mob. Everyone loves barbecued food and that makes it easier on the chef. A few snacks on the tab
Drinks for Redneck Party
Purchase inexpensive beer and cheap wine in the five-gallon bottles or in boxes. Buy generic soft drinks and Kool-aid for the non-drinkers. The drinks can be served out of wheelbarrow full of ice, an old washing machine or an old fridge turned on it side works great as well! Heck, you could even fill the back of a pickup with ice and cover with a tarp!
The bottle opener can be a screw in the top of a piece of wood.
Or use a chunky ring to open the tops for your guests. Remember we're goin' Redneck.
The guys will be happy drinking out of a can, for the ladies, give them a plastic cup or a straw in their beer.

Hi Teaches 12345,
I hope the readers will take these ideas and expand on them. Some may find them funny, others a bit offensive and a few may say, "Heck, we've been doin' that for years!"
Thanks for reading and commenting.

You have made this a fun article and your suggestions would make for a fun party. It is not my style, but I can see where others would certainly use your ideas.
