Nativity Crafts

Nativity Crafts for Kids and Adults

A collection of all types of nativity crafts, ranging from simple kids' nativity crafts to more sophisticated crafts for adults or older children, such as crocheted or cross stitch nativity crafts. I have divided these crafts into crafts for kids and crafts for adults, but some children will be more than capable of doing the more complicated crafts and I won't tell if some of the adults do the great kids' nativity crafts.

Every Christmas, for quite a few years in a row, my daughter would make her own nativity set. So maybe this is a tradition you might like to adopt for your family too.

Nativity Craft Comments - Have you ever made a nativity set?

Fay Favored from USA on December 25, 2012:

Yes, in church. The kids really like making them and taking their craft home to share.

anonymous on December 23, 2012:

"Knitivity", now is that a cool new word! I love the idea of Nativity crafts, it allows for years of children enjoying their creation and the memory of making it all through life and their Nativity will be sure to get a place of honor every year!

Gregory Moore from Louisville, KY on December 15, 2012:

I have not, but looks like a great family project.

DearReview on December 12, 2012:

I love nativity sets, and this will be a good way to keep the kids busy over break.

Nancy Tate Hellams from Pendleton, SC on December 10, 2012:

Judith Nazarewicz from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada on December 07, 2012:

Linda Jo Martin from Post Falls, Idaho, USA on October 20, 2012:

Wonderful Nativity craft ideas... thanks so much for gifting us with this lens. The beads with Nativity charms were a real surprise! I placed a link to this lens on my "Christmas on a Tight Budget" lens and hope the people who search that lens for low-cost ideas will be blessed by what you've shared here, as I am.

amandascloset0 on September 22, 2012:

I miss the old punch out paper doll style nativity sets we had when I was a kid. They were inexpensive and simple, but seems like the nights my mother would make hot coco and we'd sit with her and put those together were some great memories!

craftycollector on September 03, 2012:

I used to get my students to make paper sculpture nativity sets, all based on cones

CelebStyle LM on December 20, 2011:

Some of the Nativity crafts for kids are just adorable! Thanks for sharing. I know that when my youngest in Gr1 made a Nativity scene craft it was one of my most favorite gifts and I put it out every Christmas...Merry Christmas!

Renaissance Woman from Colorado on December 17, 2011:

Arranging one for the chapel but making these ones I haven't. The beads one is something I just saw for the first time. Will feature this in my lens Christmas in non-Christian world.

PopArtGirl on September 02, 2011:

Wow - I've never seen a knit nativity scene before - very cool! Great lens!
