Making Your Own Halloween Costume

If you're like me, you're not fond of pre-made Halloween costumes and like making Halloween costumes. You don't even need to have a lot of skills like sewing for some handmade Halloween costumes.

I'll show you some options that range from very simple to elaborate get-ups that Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn would either find fabulous or well, not so much.

Making your own Halloween costume can be as simple as using makeup and putting wire in your hair while wearing some colorful clothes.

I have a giant 6 ft foam toothbrush. I've always thought about just wearing whatever I wanted and then carrying the toothbrush around at a Halloween party. I'd be a TOOTHBRUSH HOLDER. haha :)

Boy, that Madame Butterfly sure looks like Martha. My best homemade costume was a trash can. I just wore a black trashbag and pasted "trash" on it. I received the award for most inventive costume but, then again, I was judge and jury.

How very delightful! You will have brains working for the best ever homemade Halloween costumes this year! I especially like your idea for pregnant women to work around the theme for the shape they're in and a pumpkin will hide a baby bump nicely, fun!
