Make a fishbowl bunny that's perfect for an Easter decoration all through Spring. It's a great project to make with all the family including little ones. In addition, this idea can be customized exactly how you want. If you want it as a light feature for example you can add fairy lights. Keep prices down by purchasing items from your local Dollar Store where possible.
Supplies needed include
- glass bowls in different sizes
- hot glue gun
- mod podge
- felt for ears
Begin by painting a coat of mod podge inside the glass bowl. Shake some glitter into the bowl and swirl the bowl around until the inside is fully covered. To keep things tidy, place something underneath to capture excess glitter.
Repeat this process for both bowls and allow to dry for 24 hours.
Use your hot glue gun to secure the glass bowls together. Use a template or draw your own bunny ears onto felt and cut out. Glue the ears to the top of the bowl. You can recreate this idea for all seasons and holidays for example fish bowl snowmen at Christmas time.
You can add all sorts of extras to your fish bowl bunny. In the picture above, LED battery operated fairy lights are used to turn them into a light feature and cake boards are used at the bottom in order to create a grass scene complete with Easter eggs. These make an ideal Easter centerpiece or as a gift to give to friends and loved ones. Kids will simply adore this light up Easter bunny.
You can also use your fish bowl to make an alternative Easter Basket just like the image above. Made of dollar store fish bowl wooden basket put upside down glued glass with E6000 make ears out of felt then straw hat which lifts off.
