Messages You Can Write in a Teachers' Day Card

Dear Teacher, you are such a good teacher because you have feelings of warm affection toward us and a genuine desire to impart in us what you believe to be of value. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Teacher, you are like a candle, who consumes itself to light the way for your pupils.

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. And Mr or Mrs ….., You are an inspiration to us all; you are a reminder for all of us as to what is possible in life.

Dear Teacher,

William Butler has quoted, “Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire."

You are not just imparting knowledge to us, you have successfully ignited the fire to learn in our mind, making us yearning for knowledge. Your influence on us will last forever.

Dear Teacher,

You have taught me the importance of self-help. By setting the right example, you have impressed upon me the importance of self-reliance, instead of expecting help from others. You taught me to build on my strengths and be responsible for my own successes and failures. If it wasn’t for you, I would never have learned to push my limits, and achieve my goals and dreams.

Dear Teacher,

Not only you are a good teacher, you are a good entertainer who captures our attention in all your lessons. We enjoy your class very much. Learning is so fun because of you, and the way you deliver the lessons. We feel so lucky to have you as our teacher.

Dear Teacher,

I was just an ordinary student until you came into our class. Your unusual effort has stimulated me to be more than ordinary. You have made me the winner. Thank you for being such an extra-ordinary teacher to me.

Dear Teacher,

There's no one quite like a special teacher, and no teacher quite as special as you.

Dear Teacher,

You have inspired us to do better than we know how.

Heart of Teacher

"The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth."

"The test of a good teacher is not how many questions he can ask his pupils that they will answer readily, but how many questions he inspires them to ask him which he finds it hard to answer."

Teachers' Day Quotes

"The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book."

"A truly special teacher is very wise, and sees tomorrow in every child's eyes."

"Summer vacation is the time when parents realize that teachers are grossly underpaid."

"A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart."

"Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions."

"A gifted teacher is not only prepared to meet the needs of today's child, but is also prepared to foresee the hopes and dreams in every child's future."

Heart of a Devoted Teacher

With the heart of a devoted teacher,

The classroom is an awesome place.

With the heart of a devoted teacher,

There is a smile on each student’s face.

With the heart of a devoted teacher,

Creative Ideas is everywhere.

With the heart of a devoted teacher,

Love to learn is awakened.

With the heart of a devoted teacher,

Ordinary becomes extra-ordinary.

Appreciation Poem for Teacher

Thank you, Teacher,

For being my dearest teacher,

my counsellor,

my friend.

Thank you, Teacher,

For taking time to explain to me,

When lessons are difficult to comprehend.

Taking time to give me advice,

When I am lost and needed a guide.

Taking time to encourage me,

When I am down and unhappy.

For all the things you have done for me,

I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Teacher Appreciation Poem

T is for your TALENT to bring out the best in us
E is for making us EXCEL in everything we do
A is for the ABILITY to make us love to learn
C is for CORRECTING us when we have gone astray
H is for HELPING us in all possible way
E is for ENCOURAGING us when we are despair
R is for RARE, you are rare to find
So we thank you from the bottom of our hearts; we think you are SUPERB!

Teachers' Day Appreciation Songs

World Teachers’ Day 2009 Theme Song

(adapted from the song “Wind Beneath My Wings” by BETTE MIDLER )

Some of the meaningful lyrics goes like this:

It must have been cold there in the shadow

To never have sunrise on your face

You were content to let me shine

That’s your way

You always walked a step behind

So I was the one with all that glory

While you were the one with all the strength

A beautiful face without a name for so long

A beautiful smile to hide the pain

Did you ever know that you’re my hero

And everything I wish I could be

I could fly higher than an eagle

‘cause you are the wind beneath my wings

In Your Hands

In Your Hands (A Song for Teacher)

By Ronno Song

Teacher, I wrote this song for you

To thank you for every smile

I know you had a lot to do

I’m glad that you paused a while

You took time to listen and to hear

To laugh and just be there

I heard that lesson loud and clear

I mattered to you, you cared

‘Cause when you reach out and you touch me with your heart

Then you hold what I’d becoming in your hands

And though you’re with me just a while, today…

You hold tomorrow’s smile in your hands,

In your hands…

… In your hands.

Teacher, I wrote this song for you,

Melody, words, and rhyme.

Lessons you taught me yesterday…

… have disappeared into time.

But teacher I never will forget…

A look … you gave to me.

I saw reflected in your eyes…

The somebody I could be.

‘Cause when you reach out

And you touch me with your heart

Then you hold what I’m becoming in your hands.

And though you’re with me just a while, today…

You hold tomorrow’s smile, in your hands…

In your hands

‘Cause when you reach out

And you touch me with your heart…

Then you hold what I’m becoming in your hands

And though you’re with me just a while, today…

You hold tomorrow’s smile, in your hands…

In your hands

In your hands

In your hands

Some of the meaningful lyrics goes like this:

You teach me,
You guide me,
You show me,

You spur me,

You stood by me,

Thank you for everything you've done,
Thank you for the lives you've touched,
Thank you for guiding me so far,
Thank you, thank you.

When I was down, you reassured,
You told me, it's okay
When I fall, you pick me up
Hold me, tightly.
