Decisions - Decisions

First you need to decide if you want to create a Horse Birthday Cake, Cupcakes or Cookies. Once you decide that then find a design you like or even a few and combine them to come up with your own ideas.

Personally I like Cupcakes at Parties to save from having to cut cakes, but some of these Horse Cakes are just so cute and you can even do both. I like to give out theme cookies and treats as part of my party favors.

You can create your Horses using any color you want - it can be Brown, Black, White, Spotted, Pink, Purple etc... You can even make any of these Horses easily into Unicorns by adding a horn or a long Unicorn Lollipop to the top.

For the mane you can use frosting or even licorice. For the Bridle - use any kind of candy, fruit strips and even licorice. Have fun with it and as I always say the limit is only your imagination.

Fondant Horse Cupcakes

I really like these Horse Cupcakes and even if you do not normally work with Fondant you can create these. The Cupcakes are just frosted and the Horse head was created using Fondant and a Horse Cookie Cutter. The detail was then drawn on using Edible Food Makers. Then some Frosting Stars were created around the edges using the a Frosting Tip to finish them off. I think they are Unique and Colorful - Love Them !!!

Chocolate Covered Rice Krispy Treat Horses

Here is a great Party Favor or Party Treat that you do not have to make, because they are already done for you. They are Chocolate Covered Rice Krispy Treats shaped like a Horse Head. They are HUGE in size weighing in at 3-4 Ounces each, come individually packaged and on a stick. They are also made FRESH to order. I use these as party favors - the kids love them and when I say they are big I mean it. I attach a ribbon with a Thank You and send along a Juice Box and that is it. A great idea for your Horse Party is to make some Horse Cookies - decorate them and bag them in clear bags tied with ribbons to send home with the kids as an inexpensive Party Favor Treat.

Have fun decorating them - be creative - I love the ones to your right in the photo - they are Whimsical and Fun. It is ok to think outside the box sometimes.

How about Horse Brownies?

I came across this website where these Horses were made with Blarney Stones - Now I am not too sure what those are for I am not Irish, but they look like brownies to me. Anyway she cut them up into pieces to form a Horses Head and then used icing to attach it all together.

I think these are really cute and Unique and who does not enjoy a Good Brownie - or I guess Blarney Stone - lol.
