Adult Halloween Party Decorations
Your Haunted Mansion Party for adults can be at the place of your choice, though I tend to always choose my own home as the setting (this way I can decorate however I'd like and also not have to drive after drinking *wink wink*). You may choose to decorate the inside of your home or perhaps you've chosen outside...or both. For each room inside your home, you can go with different Haunted Mansion party themes or scenes.
Here are some ideas:
Outside Walkway & Yard:
Make your yard and walkway very creepy with fake tombstones, ghosts, goblins, and hanging bats. String up orange lights or blacklights all around your home. Put out signs that point toward your Haunted Mansion.
In the bathroom:
Make a bloody murder scene in the tub. You can put fake bloody handprints on the mirrors, fill your tub with water and dye it red, and float fake bones in the bloody water. You can also purchase bloody shower curtains to add to the entire effect.
In the study or den:
This could be the fortune teller's room. Cover the furniture in black or dark purple fabric, and put a round table in the middle of the room. Place a crystal ball in the middle of the table and a fake witch or fortune teller can sit at the table too (you can purchase fake witches or have someone at your party play the part).
In the Kitchen:
Make a gory zombie scene, mad scientist's lab, or witch's lair. You can really have a lot of fun decorating the kitchen. Get a refrigerator cover from a party store that looks as if there are gory ingredients in your fridge! Make your own fake potion bottles, or display disgusting ingredients in glass containers and jars. Let your imagination run wild in the kitchen.
In the Dining Room:
Set up a ghostly dining room table or buffet. Use white tablecloths and chair covers, tarnished antique-like plates and silverware. White candles, you can even purchase white candles that drip red wax that looks like blood.

This Halloween you want to go all out and have a huge party for your friends, so what's the creepiest most disgusting theme you could go with? A Bloody Banquet Halloween Party, of course. Adult Halloween Party Food
No adult Halloween party would be complete without tasty treats and drinks. Don't put all of your effort into Haunted Mansion party decorations and then forget about the food! There are hundreds of fun and unique Halloween party food ideas out there to be found and used. For my last adult Halloween party, I had guests bring their dishes. One friend brought dead man's finger cookies (like the ones pictured here), another brought mummy dogs, and there was also a kitty litter box cake (disgusting but fit right in with Halloween!)
You can create quite a buffet of Haunted Mansion party food with simple recipes, too...just make some unique and creepy labels and watch your guests go wild. You could also try to match all of your food and drinks to one or two colors - black and red or red and white. Orange and black are of course the traditional Halloween colors, which would be a fun food theme as well.
If you plan on having a keg, simply provide food dye so that your guests can have bloody beer or green swamp water. Dispense red wine from an IV liquid dispenser. Or add ice cubes with fake critters into their cocktails!
Entertainment for an Adult Halloween Party
At most adult Halloween parties, you will see that adults can pretty much entertain themselves with socializing and drinks. However, at your Haunted Mansion Party this year, you may want to shake things up a bit and provide a scare (I mean smile) or two.
Music is one way to keep your halloween party guests amused and is also a great way to set off the perfect haunted mansion party ambiance. You can put together a playlist on your iPod or mp3 player, or make a mixed CD (depending on your resources, of course). My adult Halloween party playlist includes songs like: Monster Mash (a classic), Thriller, Walk Like a Zombie by the Horrorpops, The Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack, Marilyn Manson songs like Tainted Love and If I Was Your Vampire, The Bloodletting Song by Concrete Blonde, The Queen of the Damned soundtrack, and there are oh-so-many more awesome adult Halloween party songs out there. Or if you need a quick fix, simply purchase a Halloween CD online.
Games are also a fun way to keep your Haunted Mansion Party alive. You don't have to do any cheesy games, stick to the originals such as bobbing for apples, tarot card readings, and the like. Another fun thing to do is to give out awards to the best costumes of the night - Scariest Costume, Funniest Costume, Best Couples' Costume, etc.
Stay safe and have a very Happy Haunted Mansion Party and a Creepy Halloween!

Very creative but I think if I tried to eat some of that food, I'd hurl. It is too gross for me.

My husband once but together a Haunted House for Halloween for the youth club. Loads of people volunteered to be ghosts and demons. There was even a group of kids who dressed up and ninjas and jumped out from the behind the "tombstones" in the "graveyard" for one final scare.
It was brilliant. We had loads of kids (and a few adults) in tears and a couple of pants-wetters. Believe it or not, they actually wanted to go through again!
