Epic Fails In TV and Movie Christmas Listings
Awhile back I posted a collection of humorously flawed TV and Movie listings gathered from newspaper clippings. With the Christmas/Yule holidays now here, I thought it'd be the perfect time to post some listings for seasonal specials and shows. Some of these listings are marred by simple editorial oversights while others really missed the mark. But they are all epic fails for the newspaper reader searching for reliable content info. As such they got my attention, and I hope you get as much of a kick out of them as I have.
I imagine the text-setter for this first listing isn't a big fan of this movie.
Because sometimes the plain truth is a lot juicier than the fiction.
What was this guide writer watching? These just do NOT sound like the same holiday specials I watched as a kid!
Maybe why my hubby asked me to just bake a cake this Yule?
Ok, I admit I missed the flying Christmas dragons on Game of Thrones. But I did notice Santa's skinnier evil twin!
With special appearance by the Sister Virgin Olive Oil's All-Nun Choir.
To give it fair credit, this listing actually does pretty well sum the plot up.
I couldn't agree more with this one!
Ah, family entertainment at its most awkward.
In light of recent news regarding Bill Cosby, this listing seems maybe a touch ironic? I'll let you decide.
Yeah well, I don't care what they do in their spare time, but please NO SINGING!
FINALLY! A special that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. And I might recommend it, too, if it wasn't for that idiot Orko showing up with a chest full of myrrh and frankenfurters.
