Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays. It's not because I'm all mushy. I mean, I can be mushy but it's more because I love the colors pink and red and I love heart shapes. I know, I know, I sound like a 5 year old little girl but I love pinks and reds and heart shapes just as much as I did back then. Does any girl grow out of loving pink and red hearts? I bet we are all still that little girl at heart.
Because of my undying love for Valentine's Day crafts, I scoured the internet and found some super cute Valentine's crafts complete with tutorials to share. I was focusing on finding Valentine's crafts that would be easy to make and not cost a fortune. Thanks to everyone who contributed these craft tutorials. They are amazing!
Isn't this one sweet! I love this Valentine's Day candy sundae centerpiece found at Dollar Store Crafts. Having a party and need some centerpieces? I'm thinking what a cute gift this would be for someone on Valentine's Day. Everything you need to make this can be purchased at the Dollar Store! I can't believe this only cost a few bucks to make!
At Bubbly Nature Creations I found a easy tutorial on how to make this Valentine's Day scarf. The tutorial shows you how to make these gorgeous large pom poms out of yarn. This scarf is so pretty but I was also thinking why not make a few extra and use them somehow for Valentine's décor. Got any red, white and pink yarn lying around?
Learn how to make these little small tissue cozies at StitchCraftCreations. What a cute little Valentine's gift! This is a very easy project and it comes complete with picture illustrations showing you exactly how to make these. Be sure to have a look at the heart shaped tags on them to see the cute little joke!
This is a Valentine's Day banner made from those little cardboard toilet paper rolls and the heart shaped doilies were purchased at the Dollar Store. Now that is frugal and how cute is this?! Read more about it and see the tutorial at Cherished Treasures.
As I was looking around I stumbled upon these cute Valentine's Day colored fabric rosettes at Ali.Lilly. I had to pass this simple tutorial along. We should all know how to make these because they are so darling and can be used so many ways. They are each made with just a strip of fabric and the photo illustrations are very easy to understand. You could make up many of these to use on Valentine's gifts are home décor for Valentine's Day or really for any day.
This is a clothes pin wreath I found at Clean and Scentsible. You just need a coat hanger, glue, acrylic paint and scrapbook paper and some clothes pins and you are good to go! She tells you exactly how she did it at the link above. If you want a more detailed tutorial on how to decorate clothes pins, see my tutorial here.
Here we have a nice Valentine's Day decoration for your home. I found this at simply Sadie Jane. She has a complete tutorial with photos showing how she made this. It's very easy to understand. To make the layered flowers she uses red fabric, red tulle and red felt. The photos show exactly how she did it. Thank you Sadie Jane!
This "How Do I Love Thee" muffin tin craft I found at The Dating Divas is so cute I can't stand it! She made this for her man on Valentine's Day. The paper shapes have magnets on the edges which cover each muffin and inside where each muffin goes she wrote a small note with 1 reason why she loves him. The best part of this tutorial is she is offering a FREE PDF download of the exact clip art she used to make this. All you have to do is download and print it out and it's yours to use.
This does make a cute gift for a husband or boyfriend but I was thinking wouldn't this be really cute for your kids or a kid as well?! I've decided I'm going to make one for my little boy. He'll LOVE it!!
This heart garland is very simple but I love it. I found the tutorial at Elizabeth Anne Designs. The tutorial is very thorough with great photos. She does use a sewing machine do make this but you can make the same thing without a sewing machine just by sandwiching two hearts together around the string. It's projects like this that make me wish I had a working sewing machine!
I found this tutorial on cute Valentine's Day packaging at Easycrafts Wikia. Instead of putting your gift or treat in a box or bag, why not use some tissue paper and hearts to jazz it up a bit! Th is a very easy tutorial along with great photos. The hearts used are those cute little glittery foam hearts with adhesive on the back.
Oh my gosh, I almost died when I saw these Valentine's coke bottle gifts at Two Peas in a Bucket. These were suggested to be teachers gifts for Valentine's Day but anyone would love to get one of these! Don't you think?? Although, I can't think of anyone more deserving than a teacher. Got some ribbon, empty coke bottles and M&M's?
How about these cute little treat cups I found at Talking Momcents via Martha Stewart. They are cute and inexpensive to make. They would make great party favors and can be given to take home at the end of the party. These would be nice for a kids Valentine's Day party at school or you could just make up a bunch and sit them in groups around the house for Valentine's Day décor. You can decorate these however you want. Wouldn't some rick rack and buttons be cute on these?
