Recipe Fruit cake

Why not try this simple fruit cake that takes very little time to prepare and tastes extremely delicious. This is a traditional Christmas meal that will always be a hit with your visitors. To make this, you'll need to gather the following items: -

Ingredients

  • . One-and-a-half cup raisins
  • three cups flour, sifted
  • a cup and a half of dates, shredded
  • 1 cup of nuts, crushed
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 5 tblsp. regular vegetable oil
  • baking soda (one teaspoon)
  • sugar (two cups)
  • Add one teaspoon of salt and two teaspoons of cloves and cinnamon.

Preparation

Now that we've gathered all of the necessary components, let's get started.

After we've measured all of the ingredients, all we need to do now is put them out on a clear, clean surface.

In a pot, combine the sugar, vegetable oil, and raisins, and cook for about 20 minutes.

Allow around 5 minutes for the mixture to cool.

During this time, sift together the soda, salt, and pour cloves, then add to the now-cooled mixture.

Get your nuts ready and begin stirring the specified amount into the entire mixture.

A time-honored method for preventing the nuts from sinking is to mix in some flour with the nuts.

Simply pour the completed mixture into a pre-greased baking sheet and bake for about one and a half hours at 350 degrees. Set a timer for it and double-check it from time to time.

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup (150g) self-raising flour
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • canola spray

Pour the batter into a plastic squeeze bottle or a recycled tomato sauce bottle for easy application.

Using butter or spray oil, grease cookie cutters. Dust the surface with flour for further non-stickiness. In a large fry pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the prepared cookie cutters. Squeeze batter into cookie cutters until they are about two-thirds full.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the batter has risen to the top of the cookie cutter and is bubbling. Flip the pancake carefully, cutter and all. Cook for another minute, then remove the pancake from the cutter gently. Cook for another minute, or until the set is complete.
