Rajinder stumbled upon an ayurvedic medicine in an attempt to help his wife win her battle with PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome.
The ideal way to cure PCOS!
PCOS otherwise known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome affects many young women of varied age groups in the world today. This condition that has become so common is often attributed to the stressful lives women lead today. I wish to share with you a personal story of how I was able to find an existing cure for this ailment for my life partner who suffered from PCOS. After a lot of research, I stumbled upon a possible cure, which turned out to be very effective and cured my life partner of this affliction.
Watching her happiness after so many failed attempts to find a cure, made me realize that there were a lot of women out there struggling with the same issue. When I started sharing details of this cure in the form of a simple Ayurvedic medication in my blog, my inbox became flooded with emails from different people suffering from the same issue. Below is the gist of one such email I received.
The Case of a 26-Year-Old with PCOS
"I am also suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome plus hirsutism. I am a 26-year-old woman, height 5 feet 5 inches, current weight is 70 kg, and my periods were regular, but just some months before my marriage, my periods started getting delayed and two months after my marriage, I skipped my periods for the first time.
I consulted a gynecologist in New Delhi and she advised me to take Glyciphage (generic Glucophage) three times a day for diabetes, Asmita (one at night), Finast (generic name finasteride) once a day, and Aldactone once a day. I continued this treatment for around twelve to thirteen months and then due to pressure from family members against taking so many pills at a time, I discontinued this therapy at the end of March 2010.
After that, I have had two periods, one in April on time, one in May got delayed by 5 days, and one in June failed to happen. However, I just noted here in your thread that my golgappa intake had increased incredibly during the last two months. I will control that. Also, I have moved to Bangalore, so I need to consult a doctor there. I was wondering about an Ayurvedic doctor in Bangalore for some personal consultation regarding PCOS. I started my earlier treatment in February 2009 and at that time my weight was 74.5 kg and then I reduced my weight to 65 kg, but after discontinuation of pills, it swung back between 66.5 to 68 kg. Right now it is 70 kg”
Cure For PCOS
Most of the emails I received on the subject more or less stated the same issue. Detailed below is my response to this email - Ayurvedic medicine has a long-term cure for this problem. You can take Menstricare Evecare available from Himalaya Healthcare. If you are having amenorrhea (absence of menstruation) beyond 50 days to 60 days, you need to do the nagkesar method mentioned in my previous article on PCOS. As soon as you start your periods, begin taking Evecare ayurvedic syrup for at least three months. Always remember you need to consume this syrup for at least three months (as mentioned on the bottle) for getting the desired results. Also, you can try Menstricare veg capsules which have the same effect as Evecare syrup. You can buy Menstricare Evecare veg caps from Amazon online store. You can also buy Evecare from an Ayurvedic drug store in your area.
Himalaya Menstricare is highly recommended for your menstrual problems
Do remember that no medicine in the world will help with PCOS if your weight is not in the ideal range. You need to keep your weight gain under control as women with PCOS always tend to gain weight. When I say control weight gain, I don’t mean that you should go on a crash diet and start skipping meals. This will only compound the problem you are facing. You need to focus on weight loss by following a balanced diet and an effective exercise plan. Some yoga asanas like various pranayama when done in a relaxed environment will help calm the symptoms of PCOD. Other breathing exercises beneficial in countering the effects of PCOD are mild kapalabhatti, anuloma-viloma, and ujjayi. Some women who switched to a sattvic diet and practiced yoga have also found it beneficial.
The Dilemma of Allopathic Medicine
Regarding the intake of allopathic medicine, most women face the same dilemma as you did. Up until the time you keep taking hormone replacement medicines, your periods will be regular but when you stop these medicines, slowly your periods will start becoming irregular and in severe conditions, absent. This condition is known as amenorrhea or absence of menstruation. Amenorrhea is a difficult condition to suffer from especially for married women who are trying to get pregnant. This is the case because ovulation does not happen in women suffering from amenorrhea. When there is no ovulation one cannot get pregnant. This condition is termed as infertility caused by amenorrhea. Usually, allopathic medication would involve hormone replacement therapy, where the hormonal imbalance in women suffering from this condition is attempted to be corrected by inducing ovulation. Unfortunately as discussed this only offers a short term solution.
Controlling Weight Gain
An effective tip for controlling weight is eating high fiber, low-fat diet. This means you need to include fresh salads, lots of vegetables and greens, sprouts, and seasonal fruits in your diet. Also, you need to avoid full cream milk and its derivatives like excess butter or ghee. Put a hold on golgappas as mentioned in my previous article. Apart from the spicy tangy flavored juices that golgappa is served with, the golgappa by itself is deep-fried. It is best to avoid all forms of fried and fatty foods in your diet to help you gain better control over your weight. I know doing this can be challenging especially giving up comfort foods like golgappas but remember if there no pain, there is no gain.

This is a very good article for those who are having ovary related complications. A must read article. The junk food lifestyle, pollutions and non-systematic food habits are the root cause of many ailments, for which natural medicines are the best.

Hi Mrs. Faz, first of all, I am not a doctor. My wife suffered from PCOS, I researched and discovered a medicine called "Himalaya Evecare". I gave it to my wife and it cured my wife's PCOS and she praises me a lot for this. Then in order to help other women around the world I started wrirting on PCOS and helped several girls and women to get rid of the bad side effects of allopathic medicine and showed them a way to heal themselves naturally.
Regarding dosage of Evecare syrup for PCOS, I recommend you to take it two teaspoonful two times a day for three months and then one teaspoonful daily for 9 months. Your periods will remain under control and once your periods are under control start trying for conceiving a baby and you will become successful. Good luck.

Every black cloud has a silver lining. You should completely stop any birth control pills or hormone replacement drugs you have been taking. These have short term and long term side effects. You should take Himalaya Evecare to get rid of PCOS forever. You can visit my recent post if you can give six months to Indian Ayurvedic Medicine. Read here: You can treat pcod 100%. Hi Mrs. Gupta, yes you do not need to consult gynae and take Himalaya Evercare syrup that you can buy at any chemist store in India. Take two teaspoonfuls morning and evening for one month and then one teaspoonful daily for at least 2 to 3 years. Do not stop taking this in menses. It will start regulating your cycle within 2 months and then after 3 years you will not be required to take it. Mind it that you need to take this religiously and not missing any dosages. Be healthy and tell your little girl to leave Diane 30. Take care. God bless and best wishes for your family.

For the breast pain issue, I would recommend you to visit Dr. Sheila Mehra who is a gold medalist - senior gynecologist in Moolchand Hospital Lajpat Nagar. You can also visit her clinic. Please visit this link to get her address:
Go ahead and consult with her regarding the pcos, pain and weight gain but don't start the hormone replacement medicines she will be prescribing you as you have already started Himalaya Evecare for this. So you should not be taking two types of meds to treat a similar problem. Also allopathic hormone replacement therapies have long-term side effects whereas Ayurvedic medicines are natural and don't carry that risk.
Take the medicine she will prescribe for breast issue and any diet and exercise for weight reduction. Go ahead and best of luck. May God heal all your problems.

Thanka you very much
Rajinder Soni (author) from New Delhi, India on April 03, 2015:
Hi Priyanka, it takes time for the medicine to take effect whenever the cycle get disturbed. You need to have same patience for this. Regarding weight loss, I would not recommend herbalife, instead drink plenty of water, light exercise or join a gym, walk or jog, drink less before sleeping in night and more in breakfast time when your quite active. These are natural solutions. Herbalife is temporary, avoid it. It may reduce your weight but you will gain back soon.
