How to Overcome Failures in Life?

Vikram Brahma is a Digitalpreneur, Author, Blogger, Writer, & YouTuber. He loves to write content & spend time working from home.

Nobody wants to become a failure in his life but many times circumstances are beyond our control. If you ask me what gives me some authority to write about this topic?

Well, I have faced countless problems and failures in my life but my zest to go after my goals kept me motivated all these years. I failed for almost eight years in a row. I fought with brain diseases for almost two years and above. I lost my job and almost lost my memory on two occasions.

When I started my career as an athlete at a very young age, I never secured the first position and those were heartbreaking moments for me. Despite my best attempts, usually, I use to get the second or third rank.

I jumped from one company to another company in search of a more meaningful career. I found the working environment peaceful in some companies while in others I had some bad experience. I was fired by one company just because I had no bigger role to play and the owner treated me like a burden than an employee.

So, I like to share some of my experience regarding this topic. I hope this article of mine will act as some kind of guidance for the coming generation.

Let's overcome the challenges

Let's overcome the challenges

Be Flexible And Change As Per Requirement

From my life’s experience, I have realised in today’s time you have to be smart and flexible like Lord Krishna otherwise people can take you for granted. I remember I was working in Delhi and was doing extremely well. But suddenly, I wanted to start something of my own. I was crazy enough and wanted to leave the rat race as soon as possible.

During that moment I had no backup plans but yes I just wanted to start. So, I left my job and moved to my home state. I got some job offers but they were not close to the kind of experience I had. Plus, I was not good in the local language, so I have to suffer a lot. Therefore, from my experience, I would say you need to be ready to change and be flexible as per requirement. Had I learned the local languages on time, I would have received better opportunities.

Take help from friends, family, colleagues and mentors

Ask For Help From Friends, Family, Colleagues Or Mentors

When I returned home, I had zero contacts, therefore, I faced many challenges. I lived all my life outside my state and when I returned I was clueless for a few months.

Plus, I found that there is not a single good job consultancy firm in my hometown. They used to charge money without giving any results. They would charge money just to maintain resumes.

During such a time, you need to take help from friends, family, colleagues or mentors. But unfortunately, I had no such one during those times. It was a frustrating situation.

For this reason, make sure wherever you stay or go keep in touch with your friends’ circle. Ask for help from them and take some advice from the senior. If you believe in your dreams, don’t lose hope, your time will come.

Take Little Rest To Conserve Your Energy

When you reach such a stage you will feel anxious, irritated. You will start losing all your hopes. You feel like there is nothing felt for you. You will feel that God is against you and you have no luck to become successful.

As per my experience, you need to take some rest and conserve your energy. You need to sit quite and you need to introspect your life. If you will take more tension you might go into depression or maybe you will have a nervous breakdown.

So, just close your door, sit quietly and conserve your energy. Sit with someone and talk about your situations, see where you are making mistakes and what correct steps you can take.

Read, Motivate Yourself And Take Actions

Till now you became flexible, talked with your friends and conserved your energy. Now it’s time to take real action and bounce back in life. I started to bounce back in life when I started my digital marketing journey from home.

In 2019, I spend many days to learn new things about online marketing. I attended many webinars and enjoyed learning new things. I started reading books. Slowly, I started getting work because I implemented the things which I learned. From digital marketing, I learned that you don’t have to step out to earn money.

I earned some money and I surprised my parents because they were still insisting me to keep my job as a teacher. I love teaching but I wanted to have multiple sources of income from the internet. Now, I am a full-fledged digital marketer and I have started working on multiple fronts. I have no boss and I work on my passion and interest.

Now, I am getting training for the stock market and will soon start my journey as a stock investor. And I am sure I can achieve my goals. I believe only in the concept of focus and 100% implementation.

By the way, I still cannot speak any local languages fluently. But now my work entirely depends upon English and Hindi languages. And I am comfortable with them. I am a digital entrepreneur. Remember challenges will be there because God is testing you to know whether you are worthy enough to get the kind of dreams you want to achieve.

Thank you, Nikhil, for adding valuable comments. Yes, we all go through the bad phase in our life and we need to fight continuously. I wish people stay happy and learn fast so they can save themselves from many unnecessary problems in life.

Yes, my friend, Nikhil, I am very excited to start my journey as a stock investor. I was praying to God that I need some real mentor. And last week, one uncle of mine who is an expert in the stock market in my small town ready to teach me and I was highly impressed by God's answer. I now know he is always listening to me. And God is going to help me to become highly successful individual.

Real accomplishment requires failure. Edison claimed he never had a failure, he simply learned how not to do something.
