Your body encounters tons of toxins every day. Some of which you don't even realize that you come in contact with because you encounter them in every day routines and activities. Eating, walking, and cleaning are three very basic activities that we all partake in, even if it's just walking to the mailbox or getting the morning paper. 

The following are the most common toxins that you encounter, unless you live a rare lifestyle.

  • Alcohol

  • Dyes
  • Food coloring
  • Medications
  • Plastic
  • Pollution (air and water)
  • Preservatives
  • Solvents

There are many commercial products that you can take to help clean your system, but sometimes these products just aren't the best idea. You can even do more harm than you think by quickly flushing your body of toxins. Plus, some of these products contain chemicals similar to those you're trying to clear your body of.

But, in order to keep your body functioning at full speed, it's recommended that you detox your body once in a while, as otherwise, you may experience premature aging, disease, pain, and illnesses. The best method of detox is an all-natural herbal detox.

In general, your body will eliminate toxins on its own, but sometimes it needs a little help, especially with all the toxins that we come in contact with each day. 

An ideal method of natural detoxification is using herbs, as recommended by Chinese medicine practitioners. Chinese medicine has proven there are many herbs that you can take in order to clean your liver, intestine, kidney, skin, and lymphatic system, and below, you'll find recommended herbs that you can use to clean your system to help make your body more receptive to its natural functions as well as to help make herbal treatments more effective.

Once you have fully cleansed your body of toxins and pollutants, you will find that you will feel much better.

  • Lymphatic System

In order to have proper immune system performance, you want to make sure that your lymph nodes and entire lymphatic system is clean of waste. You can try cleavers, liverwort, Echinacea, horsetail, birch leaves, angelica, burdock, seaweed, Dandelion, red beet, , parsley, chamomile, blessed thistle, black cohosh, gentian, and goldenrod.

  • Liver

The liver is the most commonly detoxed organ in the body. It is very important that your liver is kept clean, as waste can be sent to your kidneys from your liver and you'll have more than one problem on your hand. There are many different herbs that you can try to detox your liver, such as dandelion, yellow dock, and eclipta.

  • Large Intestine

Because the intestines see a lot of toxins, it's important to clean it out in order for it to function properly and in order to have regular bowels. To restore your large intestines, you can try bitter orange, black sesame seed, and blood building herbs like mulberry fruit.

  • Skin

There are topical creams that you can apply to your skin to make sure that it is fully detoxed and kept clean, but it's easier than that.The best skin cleanser is sweat, so take a long walk or run, but you can try Chinese herbs like catnip, elder, ginger, and lavender to help work up a sweat as well.

  • Kidneys

In order to keep your kidneys functioning properly, you can maintain them with rehmannia and he-shu-wu, which are Chinese herbal tonics that act as diuretics. Other herbs that you can take as supplements to detox your kidneys include marshmallow root, dandelion, juniper berries, uva ursi, water plantain, ginger, cedar berries, and meadowsweet.

If you are cleaning your body of toxins so that you will be more receptive to other treatments, it's recommended that you start an herbal detox at least 1 to 2 months before starting any other treatment, whether be a conventional treatment or an herbal therapy treatment.
