Obesity increases the risk of gastroesophageal reflux disease. This problem occurs when stomach acid leaks into the esophagus. So obese people are a little more vulnerable.

Also, obesity problem increases the risk of developing gallbladder tumors in the body. This gallbladder tumor forms when the gallbladder hardens. Surgery may be needed to correct this.

Also, fats are formed around the liver, so they are more likely to be affected. This can lead to liver failure.



Insulin resists obesity cells. Insulin is a hormone secreted by the body. It converts sugar from your blood into energy and carries it to your cells. If your body resists insulin, the blood sugar cannot be picked up by the cells. The result is high blood pressure.

This increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes when your blood sugar level rises. It causes problems like heart disease, kidney disease, stroke, vision loss.

In obese people, the heart has to work harder to pump blood to other parts of the body. This leads to high blood pressure. High blood pressure increases the chances of having a stroke.
