The Importance of Oxygen
I was led to write this article through a series of informative insights or intuitive moments. I had to research and connect the damages that can be caused or induced by coverings over the mouth and nose for extended even short periods of time and similarly, the affects of inactivity and how detrimental it can be to our health amongst other things. People need to be aware that oxygen is the most precious element known to man and when levels are low it literally wrecks havic on the body. Let's just take a look at how important oxygen is.

Hypoxia, What is it?
Low Blood Oxygen
When the body is deprived oxygen the kind of things that occur that produce a certain condition is established as hypoxia. Tissues do not perform normally. The one tissue that gets the brunt of it is: your brain. See if you can no longer make critical decisions or your motor skills become partially impaired how you feel.
According to other sources there are 4 kinds of hypoxia: hypoxic, hypemic, stagnant, and histotoxic.
Oxygen rules the heart.

After Effects of Decreased Oxygen in the Body
Imagine people that start out with low levels of oxygen in their bodies to begin with due to various reasons via allergies, heart issues, radiation treatment etc.
Hold onto your hats and look at the common symptoms of oxygen deprivation:
- Rapid pulse rate
- Shortness of breath
- Rapid breathing
Similarly, you can feel confused, have a rapid pulse rate and shortness of breath or rapid breathing from not exercising and sitting all day.
Causes of Oxygen Deprivation
What causes oxygen deprivation?
- Lung damage
- Lung disease
- Heart issues
- Pain meds
- Covering your nose and mouth
Other causes include:
- Carbon monoxide poisoning
- High altitudes
- Smoke inhalation
Oxygen forms an essential part of the process of metabolism and radiation affects us on a biochemical level. Oxygen is needed for the entire operation of the body to burn energy and control hormones.
Dangers of Low Oxygen Blood Levels
If blood oxygen saturation level dips below 80s organ damage is in the works.
Symptoms of Hypoxia
Some clues of poor oxygen circulation to the brain:
- Losing your color vision
- Blue lips or finger nails
- Impaired judgement
- Feeling drowsy
- Difficulty with complex tasks
- Poor short-term memory capacity
- Increased heart rate
If you feel Euphoric during a crisis that is also a sign, not responding normally to a situation.
The symptom you'd notice most is shortness of breath. As for children mouth-breathing and drooling occur much like in your pets.
Low Oxygen Levels Lead Can Lead To:
- Brain damage (Dementia, Alzheimer's...)
- Cell death (Aging etc)
- Alzheimer's (cerebral hypoxia)
Masks Don't Work

Science says healthy people should not wear masks. CDC has zero evidence supporting healthy people wearing masks.
Can A Sedentary Life Cause Low Body Oxygenation?
The answer to that is: yes.
The main effects of too little physical exercise is reduced oxygenation of body cells. Whatever breaks cells down ages you and shortens your life span.
A person with low body oxygenation while at rest often realizes they are excessively exhausted for no reason to the point they cannot even make themselves move to exercise. This is said to cause negative thoughts to start then a very low self image.
We should naturally crave physical exercise, but this this condition, the craving is virtually non-existent. At some point, the person may not even realize that non-activity is the main culprit of their condition because they are no longer thinking at the top of their ability.

Thanks for your Comment Cynthia. I myself have been sitting for far too long and noticing my own symptoms which caused me to reflect. The toxins in the air are bad enough, but covering the face is worse, see how you feel more fatigued with it on or off, be careful. I myself am at the point of being too tired to even exercise so this awareness is moving me to write and to get to it. Going to do more research into this subject and update the article.

Relevant and interesting topic. While i am a sedentary person, my husband seems to be someone who "craves" physical activity. Yesterday he encouraged me to come along on one of his "maintenance walks" to the harbour below us and slogging up a steep incline home. I do feel better and more clear-brained this morning. I must say, though, that there was a home right across from the beach that was pumping out the strong chemical scent of a dryer sheet and that really affected my oxygen intake. Next walk i may put on a mask for my walk through that miasma.
