Cabbage Soup Diet Information

Did you know that you can use the Cabbage Soup Diet to lose up to 10 pounds in a week. This diet really does work and it works great. I have seen people use it to lose from 10 pounds to 25 pounds in a month. And your not starving yourself like on a lot of other fast weight loss diets. Here on this page I will try to provide you with all the information you need on the cabbage soup diet. And here is the plan for 7 days on the cabbage soup diet.Keep in mind that with the cabbage soup diet you can eat all the cabbage soup you want or can stand. We have jazzed it up just a bit but its still a really healthy soup that you can use to lose weight.

Day 1.

On day one of the Cabbage Soup Diet you can eat all the cabbage soup you want. As you can on any day of this diet. On day one you can also eat all the fruits you want except bananas. You can also have all the unsweetened tea you want , all the cranberry juice you want and all the water you want. Try your unsweetened tea hot with a few drops of lemon juice. Try your water really cold with lots of crushed ice. You can even flavor your water with unsweetened Kool Aid and freeze it into flavored ice for a tasty treat.

Day 2.

Here on Day Two of the Cabbage Soup Diet you can of course have all of your cabbage soup you want or desire. On day two you can have all the fresh , cooked , or raw veggies you want. But avoid dry beans , peas , and corn. For your dinner today have a really huge baked potato with butter. You can have all the water , ice , flavored ice described on day one , unsweetened tea and cranberry juice you want. Make celery , carrot , and green pepper sticks and chill them for a tasty treat.

Day 3

Today you can have all your regular beverages. You can also have all the fruits or vegetables you want and of course all the cabbage soup you want. Avoid the baked potato today. Instead try some corn on the cob with butter.

Day 4.

You can have all your regular beverages. Try making peach ice by making it from crushed ice and fresh or canned peaches in a blender. You can if you wish add fresh or canned berries. Apple ice made from ice made from apple juice and an apple is also really good. Today you can also have all the bananas and skim milk you want so you can make a great almost frozen banana drink from bananas , skim milk and fresh pineapple. You want to almost freeze your ingredients and then make it. And don't forget you can also have all the cabbage soup you want.

Day 5.

Day Five is your beef and tomatoes day. Today you can have up to 30 ounces of beef and up to 8 large tomatoes. Cook your beef how you want. Today you can have your baked potato and all your regular beverages. Try a almost frozen strawberry drink today. Use fresh or frozen strawberries and crushed ice. Add fresh or canned berries. And you can of course eat all your cabbage soup you want.

Day 6.

Today you can have all the beef or vegetables you want. And don't forget today you can have all the cabbage soup you want. Try it with added beef. And you can have all your regular beverages.

Day 7.

Today you can have all the brown rice , all the vegetables you want , all the unsweetened fruit or fruit juices you want, your regular beverages and all of your cabbage soup you want.

A Little More Information.

If you use canned fruits or berries use either unsweetened or no sugar added. Think out side the box. Try baked potatoes stuffed with vegetables. Make up all kinds of almost frozen fruit drinks. If you can make it through seven days of the diet you will lose weight. On the days you can have bananas try almost freezing a banana. It's a tasty treat you should try. Glaze your frozen bananas with a trickle of honey. Reward yourself with a frozen banana fixed this way for making it through a whole day of the diet.

Use That Blender

If your going to do this diet your going to want to have a supply of crushed ice and a really good blender. Or if you want you can use a food processor. Try using fresh or canned fruit , fresh or canned berries and crushed ice to make almost frozen slushy drinks that will be a real tasty treat while your on your cabbage soup diet. If you need a sweetener use equal or a similar product. And you can use just a little bit of honey to reward yourself at the end of a diet day.

Weight Loss

You can really lose weight fast with the cabbage soup diet and we have researched and improved the recipe for the soup below and if you make the cabbage soup recipe I guarantee you that you will love it. You truly can use this soup to lose up to 10 pounds in a week. And the great thing is you don't have to purchase anything special or jump through any hoops. Just make the soup and follow the above plan to lose all the weight you want to.

I would suggest doing what I did. Follow the diet for 7 days and then go off of it for 3 days. Eat heavy on proteins on the 3 days your off the diet. On the days your off the diet make your self a delicious tasty treat from plain yogurt , fresh or canned peaches , smooth peanut butter and crushed ice. And you will have a delicious healthy tasty treat. On your 3 days off avoid breads and similar items. Eat beef , fish and chicken heavily on your three days off the diet along with all the vegetables cooked or raw that you want.

I can tell you a year later that this diet works wonderful. In a little over a year using the cabbage soup diet I have lost 130 pounds. I usually do the diet now on Saturday and Sunday and eat a high protein diet through the week.

I will tell you that this is not a easy diet. If you can get through two weeks of this diet though you can make it. And the weight will drop off rapidly.

Cabbage Soup Diet Recipe For Cabbage Soup

Here we have jazzed up the recipe for the cabbage soup for the cabbage soup diet. This soup is much tastier than the original and just as healthy for you. Its a easy soup to make and it really is delicious.

1. 1 Head Regular Cabbage Diced Up Fine.

2. 1 Small Head Purple Cabbage Diced Up Fine.

3. 6 Regular Onions Diced Up Fine.

4. 6 Green Onions Including Tops Diced Up Fine.

5. 2 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Garlic.

6. 1 22 Ounce Can Crushed Or Diced Tomatoes.

7. 6 Stalks Celery Diced Up Very Fine.

8. 4 Green Bell Peppers Diced Up Very Fine.

9. 1/2 Pound Brown Rice, Cook your rice and then add to soup when the soup is done.

10. 1 Tablespoon Cayenne Pepper.

11. 1 Teaspoon Sea Salt.

12. 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper.

You will want to place all your ingredients but your rice in a large stock pot with enough water to cover and bring almost to a boil and reduce heat to medium. Cook until all vegetables are tender. When your soup is done add your cooked brown rice and stir well. Store your soup in a covered plastic container in your refrigerator. Remember you can have all the soup you want. You can add more or less ground cayenne pepper. It gives the soup a great added flavor and cayenne pepper is good for you.

I remember the soup diet from the 1970s. this one seems a bit hardy to work. I'm very obese and this will be my first diet in decades . I like that I won't be hungry and the food is actually healthy. Am glad I came across your information while doing a Search on the combination of the Cabbage Soup Diet with other Diets.

Adding Brown Rice to the Soup was indeed a great idea and move!!!

On my 3rd day now! On 2nd day, I was hungry the whole day and had 3 bowls of soup + veggies. However, I am unable to have the soup for breakfast. I never had breakfast before ... lol

I will follow your advice and continue with the Diet while taking a break for 3 days.

I might also have Pulses combined with the Cabbage Soup Diet!

Yes I went to the nutritionist at my local hospital and she said the recipe was perfect the way I had changed it and she said with the addition of cayenne pepper it was much more healthy for you. I have lost over 40 pounds with this soup recipe and I have kept it off. I even have the soup sometimes when I am not dieting with cooked hamburger in it.
