Do Less, Allow More

How can you create more joy in your life? According to Esther Hicks and Abraham, the key is quite simple. Human beings, most of the time, have the formula for joy and abundance backward.

When we focus our mental and physical energy on doing and forget to slow down and allow our energetic body to connect to a higher source, our higher power or God, then we miss the opportunity to allow joy and abundance to flow to us.

It's not hard. Instead of spending 90% of your time trying to make things happen and 10% meditating and getting into a quiet mental space, switch it up.

Start the day quietly, connecting to spirit. Allow source energy to flow in and quiet the worry that inhabits your mind.

The following three tips can help you find and maintain that beautiful flow state, allowing abundance and joy to rise and shine through you.

Embrace, Expect, Enjoy

Do you remember the feeling you felt when you were completely connected, completely inspired, or completely joyful? You felt light, free, in tune with the whole world. You felt in that moment, that you could be or do or have anything.

That divine connection is your natural state. High vibration comes when you allow yourself to remember who you truly are. The problem comes when you start to worry. You remember something you have to get done later today. And you feel a little slower. You then remember something someone said yesterday, and your vibration grows heavier. Then you remember your mom is sick, and you drop back to earth with a bang.

Real life seems to intrude into your intention to allow joyful abundance. With so many problems, you have no idea how you're going to get through today alive. You completely forget about being joyful and abundant. Those ideas have vaporized like mist in the desert.

To fully embrace the art and joy of allowing begins with a decision. First, decide you want to feel better. Don't try and force yourself into a good mood. Sit back, breathe deeply and quiet your mind. Release, just for now, all those worries and concerns.

Breathe and accept your life exactly as it is in this moment. In this moment, all is well. Breathe deeply and ask yourself what you appreciate in this moment. Keep your eyes closed and your breath deep as you relax your jaw. Remind yourself of how far you've already come and again, think of what you are grateful for. As you feel your heart slowly shift into a lighter place, say thank you. Thank you to the universe. Thank you to God. Thank you to yourself. Thank you to the unseen powers that drive your life. Thank you.

Allow yourself to feel just a little bit better. Not joyful, perhaps, but not pissed off or angry or fearful. Just a little bit better. Don't fall back into all those worries and thoughts that bring you down. Stay focused on your breath. Slowly release your grip and allow.

Relax into the moment. Don't grasp for joy. Don't struggle to feel connected or abundant. Relax. Breathe. Allow yourself space to feel a little lighter and a little better.

Embrace where you are, what you've accomplished and who you are. Appreciate your life just a little more. It's helpful to think back on times when you felt joyful, connected and light. As you feel into those moments, remember where you were, what you were doing and allow those feelings to return to your heart. Close your eyes and embrace this beautiful feeling. This is your natural state of being. High vibration is the energy of creation and abundance. Accept that this lightness of being is where you belong. Embrace the truth of who you really are.

If unwanted feelings arise, ignore them. Don't focus any energy in that direction. Don't worry about what might happen. Stay in the feeling of joy another moment longer. Feel into the good, light, joyful feeling for another moment. Embrace the feeling of alignment for another breath. Choose to stay in that good feeling a moment longer. Embrace the joy. Allow the peace. Breathe.

Expect that joy is your natural and given state. You deserve abundance, joy, peace. You deserve to feel good. Anticipate the feeling before it arrives. Know that you are and can and will be joyful. Expect that all is well. Breathe deeply, with excitement, expecting that good things are on their way.

If you find yourself falling back toward worry or anger or frustration or fear, pause and expect that you can feel better. Stop focusing on those things that drag your energy down. Instead, close your eyes and quiet your mind. Check in with your heart, your inner being. Expect that a better feeling is coming.

Ask your heart how it feels. Ask your inner awareness how it's doing. Get your mind quiet and allow the energy of your highest self to take over. The vibration of your highest self is pure, aligned and joyful. Allow that energy to enliven and expand your awareness. Expect that joy comes, abundance flows and you have no control over anything but yourself. It frees you, to feel into the state of allowing.

You don't need to make a list or do something about your expectation. Let go of specific requirements and allow yourself to feel. Feel joy, abundance, peace and empowerment. Stop thinking and doing. Allow feeling. Expect to feel good in this moment.

Enjoy feeling good. There is no guilt in being joyful, inspired and abundant. Joy is your birthright. In fact, it is the right of every human being. No matter the external circumstances, each person, including you, can choose to tap into the higher feeling vibrations of joy, love and abundance. Go back to gratitude and breathe. Enjoy all that you've been blessed with.

You are entitled to feel good, so enjoy the feeling of feeling good. You don't have to apologize to those who don't understand. You aren't required to explain yourself. Feel good. Share the joy. Allow peace to fill you. Delight in the experience of your life.

Three Simple Steps

You can experience the art of allowing joy with these three simple steps. Before you begin, quiet your mind, close your eyes and breathe deeply. Focus on your breath. Notice how you feel. Allow yourself to enter into a state of receptivity. Open your heart and allow energy to flow into you.

In this opened state of awareness, you can now do the three following steps:

1. Embrace joy as your natural state and allow yourself to joyfully enter a higher vibrational state.

2. Expect to feel good and anticipate the next best feeling.

3. Enjoy feeling good and delight in the art of joyful allowing.
