How to choose the right coconut oil for the job

Not all coconut oil is made equal. To get the best results you should use cold pressed virgin coconut oil that has not been heat treated or processed using chemicals such as hexane. I prefer to also use organic coconut oil to avoid the chance of applying any residue of a pesticide to my skin. My favorite brand is Banaban because its 100% pure and hexane free.

So with that said, lets look at some simple but effective recipes you can make at home. These recipes are suitable for several different types of skin from acne to dry skin.

Tea tree has very potent antibacterial and antiseptic properties. It is a powerful natural infection fighter and a little goes a long way.

Lavender is too and is very calming for inflamed skin. But tea tree is one of the strongest antibacterial essential oils.
