Life is Always Good

No Matter What Life is Good

Working in Oncology gives you such a reality check that even a smile is something to be thankful for. This year my life has been awesome with so many blessings bestowed upon me but my heart is bleeding in pain for my patients who this very holiday are fighting for their life instead of enjoying a turkey dinner.

Cancer knows no face. It does not have predjudice against any race, culture, wealthy, or poor. It doesn't discriminate in any way shape or fashion. As I watch a room full of patients sitting in recliners getting chemo on the eve of Thanksgiving, I give thanks for my life indeed.

When your looking at someone in anger just remember it solves nothing. When your yelling at your children for something trivial remember there is someone wishing for theirs to be alive. When you want to argue, yell or curse at someone you love remember they may be your last words that you ever say to them.

Today is a day to be thankful for life, for the small things, and most of all things. It's a day to think of everyone in your life and cherish them always. People were put on this earth to love and be loved and so much hate has entered life.

But today I say thank you to everyone who has come in to my life for a reason, season, or lifetime because it is all of you who have made my life worth living.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.

A Journey of Life and Happiness

Our Troubled World

Time has surely gone by fast in my life. I feel like it was yesterday holding my first son in my arms and now he is 37.

In today's society us baby boomers are looking at a generation of young people growing up with no morals or values of human life. Just walking into a store or practically anywhere you are in danger of being shot.

Life has become full of career criminals and its not going to get much better. With so many people living below the poverty line crime is going to happen. We have a government that does nothing that we pay every week. Their salaries are 20 times most peoples income. But we keep electing them.

As I age I fret over who is going to take care of me when I am no longer to take care of myself. I know my children will see that I am taken care of but will that person truly care about me?

Be Grateful

There are Many Things We Can Be Thankful For

Everyday you wake up with your health, a roof over your head and food in your belly you are 300 times better then some people. If you have a job, a car, family and friends you 200 times better then others.

If you have a partner, parents still living, laughter, a bed to sleep in, a warm home, a car to drive, clean water to drink, a way to wash your clothes, cell phones, love, art, the ability to read, rainbows, sunshine and many many other things we take for granted you are 100 times better off then someone else.

Life does not come with a book for you to read to do everything right. You will make mistakes some small and others big but no matter what you will learn lessons. Some you will use to improve yourself and others you will just throw your hands up in the air and say "oh well". There will be bumps in the road but are you smart enough to jump over them. Do you have the will to be happy and appreciate little things? These are the things we have in life to be thankful for.

An Incredible Man

Stop Saying I Can't

You can spend a whole day saying you can't do this and you can't do that but they are just excuses. Humans have the ability to accomplish anything they choose too. It's all about being willing to learn.

I knew nothing about my job but I was eager to learn. I have always been a sponge to soak up as much knowledge as my brain can hold. Even though I am not a doctor I am a wealth of medical information who probably could tell you what is wrong with you before a doctor could. I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years and I have always asked questions and learned as much as I could. That is why I have been successful.

You don't have to have a college education to be smart. There is so much information on the internet but just know its not always true. Some people just want to deceive others.

Find credible articles and read reviews of products before you buy them. Be a walking dictionary that people will want to feed off of.

In everything that life throws at you, don't let it hit you, catch it and move forward.

We All Need Gratitude
