It is said, "Beauty" is only skin deep." Indicating a woman can be beautiful on the outside, and so very unattractive on the inside.

What Does the Phrase “Beauty is Only Skin Deep” Mean?

Beauty is, of course, refers to the fact that a woman can be beautiful on the outside, but so very unattractive on the inside. True beauty does not imply only outward appearance; it also represents the inside as well.

In the 1960s, the Temptations released a hit single called, “Beauty is only skin deep.” A song that shares with the world, a story of a man so in love with a pretty woman who was so unattractive on the inside.

Audrey Hepburn said, “The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love lives. “True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”

The above quote signifies as a woman to be truly beautiful; she must understand her beauty is not merely external; it applies to the insides as well.

We often deceive females to believe that’s being beautiful with a slender body is the accurate representation of a beautiful woman. And to an outsider, a beautiful woman is a female who physically has it all. Although, there is so much more to a beautiful woman than just being pretty.

Beauty is something that few understand, yet a beautiful woman is one who has a combination of confidence, personality, and physical attraction. She understands that her beauty is not about her figure, the clothing, the make-up, or the hair. It’s about her unique personality, warm radiating smile, and the way she is exceptionally kind and caring to others.

A beautiful woman is selfless, carefree, not judgmental, and shows no concern about what others think of her. She does not need to brag about herself, as she is a woman that others will never get to know. When things go wrong, she can make the best of the situation and smile even when all odds are against her.

The question is, what does a woman of beauty see when she looks in the mirror?

As a true woman of beauty stands before the mirror, she is confident, and she only sees perfection when looking at the reflection in the mirror. She sees the heart of the woman and she carefully chooses the purposes that will drive her life.

  • She's a woman with an exceedingly beautiful external appearance.
  • Her smile makes her pretty and lights up a room.
  • She's a woman with a heart of gold, sweet with a forgiving nature
  • Her distinctive personality and powerful mind make her beautiful

A beautiful woman without confidence often finds herself in a difficult situation with no intelligence, talent to cope with the modern world. Her only ability is looking good. At the end of the day, she finds herself utterly alone without a true companion or the right partner.

There is no way to disagree with the established fact that a women’s beauty is in her face, to maintain the attractive features is stressful. By society, standard women are often influenced by the view of others when they are looking at themselves in the mirror. Frequently they failed to realize the beauty they have and by emphasizing the outer looks they become a victim of an unsuccessful life.

A beautiful woman who doesn't understand the beauty of the woman in the mirror; when she looks in the mirror, she sees faults in her appearance. She is not able to realize what she is viewing because her eyes skim past her beauty to focus on her flaws.

She’s very hard on herself because she desires to see herself as pretty. She craves to be loved. And most importantly, she seeks to be comfortable in her own skin. And for some unknown reason, she’s blind to her beauty. She's convinced that she’s ugly. She wants to believe that the mirror is lying to her. Although she can see the beauty in other women, when she looks in the mirror, she allows her eyes to zone in on her insecurities.

There should be no burden put on anyone to maintain a perfect body and beautiful face. But the standard set by society makes some often to think of not being attractive. Frustrated, and they failed to bring out their inner beauty.

In some cases, a beautiful woman uses her beauty to deceit people around her to achieve her life goals. She doesn't care about the negative impact on the people around her or without the concern of how she is hurting them. Many successful women don’t know what to search in their appearance when they are standing in front of the mirror. A beautiful and talented woman should look for these three basic signs when she sees her image in the mirror:

  1. To recognize herself.
  2. Realizing her inner strength, values, and abilities.
  3. Learning to be true to herself and others.

It will take time to master the above three basic exercises. But if she continues the practice she will know more about herself and eventually, she will become a truly beautiful and happy woman.

A really beautiful woman radiates a spark and the people attracted to her instantly. She is a woman with outstanding and elegant physical appearance carrying a heart made of precious gold.

She is sweet and caring, possesses a forgiving nature. Her eyes sparkle and her smile brighten the surroundings. Women’s Beauty is something that is difficult to understand and most importantly only fewer possesses the true beauty. Instead of seeing, you can do more, it should be felt within you. It is the continuance of your soul in the light.

Some women think the key to their beauty depends on everyday makeup and just the right hairstyle. And women have a countless number of reasons to think like that as their standard of beauty frequently judged by their external appearance. Instead of investing in useless cosmetics and paying for hairstyles, better to invest in driving within you to bring out your true passion, compassion, fun-loving spirit, resilience, confidence, inner strength and energy and to develop a strong mind.

Your beauty is not only what you see when you look in the mirror, but your true beauty is something which reflects your inner strength, the warmth of your soul, your confidence and your love for others.

While seeing yourself in the mirror, look for the true potential hidden inside and outside. Don't just look for your radiant smile, your eyes, your clothing or hairstyle. Be in touch with who you are, the beautiful woman in the mirror.
