Scripture Quotes for Positive Mindset

Emotions differ from moods in that emotions typically last minutes to seconds whereas moods can last hours or days,” writes Dr.Tchiki Davis from the Berkeley Well-Being Institute. For example, fear can be an emotion arising from the sound of thunder, or it can be the mood of someone facing a threat of harm. The following affirmations aim to offer both short-term and long-term boosts for a positive mindset.

The Psychology Dictionary describes affirmations as declarations designed to encourage positive, happy feelings, thoughts and attitudes. It suggests that regular use makes them highly influential. The repetition of the following Scripture quotes can be repeated by anyone who recognizes the value of spiritual influence on everyday mental health. Quote number 29 is high on my list.

Connectedness, protection, contentment, trust and encouragement are just a few of the many areas in which the Bible offers positive thoughts which can promote positive moods. First-person pronouns are inserted within square brackets to make some affirmations personal. Select one or more to fill your specific need for a positive boost. Repeat as often as necessary for improvement in your total well-being.

Unless noted otherwise, Scriptural quotations are from the New International Version.
