As we all know eating a rainbow of fruits and vegetables is very good for health. From the 7 colours of rainbow, in this article we will discuss about the red coloured fruits and vegetables beneficial for our health.

Nutrient content : They are rich in lycopene, quercetin, anthocyanin, ellagic acid, hesperidin, with phytochemicals. Lycopene acts as an antioxidents that reduces the risks of developing atherosclerosis, prostate cancer, tumor growth, lower blood pressure and LDL cholesterol levels.

Red coloured fruits and vegetables are packed with full of vitamins and minerals like vitamin A, vitamin C and potassium. They also protect eyes, reduce heart disease risk, help to remove harmful free radicals (toxins in the body might convert in cancer cells), and give relief in hypertension.
