Re-Programming the Mind

Often in the midst of depression, it is easy for our thoughts to spiral down, trapping us in a negative loop. One thing we always have control of, is our own mind. However, the mind tends to work against us, repeating limiting beliefs that do no serve our highest good. Old and destructive thoughts often form during childhood and as we grow up. However, we have a choice to think new thoughts! Repetition is an excellent way to re-train your mind. Practice language and create new thought patterns that contain the beliefs you want to hold. Below is a starting point of phrases and statements that can better serve a happy, healthy mind. Make a list of the ones that really speak to you, adding a few of your own in your own words. Change starts with you!
