What is mental health?
Mental health is the maintenance of the mental state. It is related to the psychological and emotional activities of an individual. It also indicates that how a person reacts in a stressful condition or cope with all complex situations of life productively.
Mental health can be attained by following these basic strategies:
- Eating a healthy diet
- Enough sleep
- Staying positive
Mental health issues are commonly related to mental disorders or mental illness that affect an individual’s mood, behavior, and thinking also. These include depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, phobia, and addictive behaviors, etc. Society is the main cause of mental illness.
Most women are suffering from a variety of mental health issues than men due to complexity, abusive behaviors, personality disorders, and especially the fear of sexually compelling news.
Symptoms of mental illness
- Confused thinking
- Excessive fears
- Suicidal thinking
- Less sleep
Mental health issues
Depression is a feeling of extreme sadness, hopelessness, and mood swings mostly found in women especially before giving birth to a baby, after losing special people in life and complex conditions; in return majority of women indulge themselves in alcoholic activities.
- Loss of interest in daily life activities
- Quick angriness
1) Enough sleep
2) Exercise daily
3) Nutrition and a healthy diet
5) Social relationships with friends and family
Anxiety is the most common mental illness among women in which the feelings of an individual experience like worries, separation, and specific phobias ( fly, height, water, darkness, and blood). Social phobia is found very abundant in women. Obsessive thoughts are the sign of negativity that what people will think, what they do, and how they behave all these conditions leads to an anxiety disorder.
1) Take a healthy and good diet that is rich in protein
2) Relaxation exercises
3) Meditation like yoga
4) Take a deep breath
5) Take vitamin D
6) Aromatherapy ( it is a treatment of anxiety by smelling the fragrance of specific oil)
7) Herbal teas
9) Stay active
10) Avoid smoking
3) Borderline Personality Disorder
BOD is a serious disease that hits young women more than any other demographic. It refers to continually changing moods, complex in self-image, and such behaviors that cause instability in life, relationships, and a person’s mood. Mostly young women think that I am weak or fat, I am not looking perfect and its extreme level becomes a disorder that becomes drastic. Many suicidal attempts have been made by women.

- fear of loneliness
- mood swings
- unstable relationships
1) Psychotherapy (talk therapy)
2) Increase social relations with friends
3) Control the unpleasant emotions that make you feel uncomfortable
4) Stay calm and focused
4) Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
This is a physical psychiatric disorder of a person in which he/she feels that I am ugly or imperfection in the body figure that is not attractive. Many societal pressures compel women to do surgery for a satisfying look. This disease also occurs in men who look for a perfect physique and are not satisfied by their current body. It is just an agnostic behavior of a patient and nothing else.

3) Take a mindfulness meditation
4) Take a nourishing diet
5) Try to reduce stress
5) Perinatal Depression
Pregnant women and those women who have just given birth experiences a mental disorder called perinatal depression. The word perinatal refers to the time before and after giving birth to a baby. This problem is greatest in developing countries. This disease has a great effect on women's ability to function and also affects the development of the child. Pregnant women everywhere have perinatal depression. This depression is exacerbated by poverty, stress, and exposure to violence. Women should be educated about children’s health and their reproductive growth.
