Moringa oleifera from the family Moringaceae is a drought resistant and fastest growing tree native to Indian subcontinent. The other names of moringa are horseradish tree, drumstick tree, ben oil tree or benzolive tree.

It has been used by primitive cultures for thousands of years to help cure wide range of diseases. Now it has become very popular in last couple of years, due to its miraculous properties.

Some populations consider moringa as tree of life or miraculous tree. Lately it has received an incredible amount of attention by medical community around the world. Being praised for its amazing health benefits and nutritional qualities, moringa is a great source of

A study of 6 people with diabetes found that adding 50gram of moringa leaves to a meal decreases the risk of high blood sugar to 21%.

One study shows that consuming 1.5 teaspoon of moringa leaf powder daily for three months, helps in significantly improving blood antioxidants levels.

Brilliant and well written article, Amara. I first came across Moringa in Arusha, Tanzania in 2013. It was popular there but not in the West. A year or so later, I started seeing articles about it, then packed shelves and it soon became a very popular product in the West. Amazing story of success!
