Low-Carb Keto Friendly Banana Cream Pie

As an experienced content creator in my day job, I've got tons of handy hints that I think you will find useful and enriching.



  • 1/2 cup organic heavy cream
  • 2-3 bananas, sliced evenly
  • cinnamon, to taste
  • 2 Tbsp Stevia
  • 1/4 cup all natural peanut butter, sugar free
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 1 whole egg

Instructions for the Crust

- First things first, make sure you preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I usually set the rack to the middle, but it does depend on your ovens hot spots.
- Next mix the egg, almond meal, 1 tablespoon of Stevia sweetener, and add the cinnamon to suit your taste preference for a crust.
- Line a 9′′ pie pan with organic butter or coconut oil and then spread the pie crust so that it covers the base and sides of the pan evenly.

- Place it in your oven and allow it to bake until the crust is firm and takes on a slight browned appearance.

Instructions for the Cream Topping

- Into your food processor or blender add your heavy cream and a tablespoon of Stevia to sweeten.
- Blend cream until it is thick and creamy, basically to the point of being a frosting, being careful not to overwork it.
- Once desired consistency has been reached, be sure to refrigerate to not lose your progress.

Instructions for the Filling

- With around two-thirds of the sliced bananas place in a pan and lightly sautee them in the butter, add then add the peanut butter being sure to do this over a low temperature.
- When peanut butter has melted down, you will need to mash the bananas and peanut butter together with a spatula or back of spoon if that is all you have at hand.
- by this point your pie crust should be at the desired level of crispy goodness, so take it out of the oven and place all of the filling into the pie crust.
- Bake for another 10 minutes or so to allow the mixture to cook and firm/set slightly.

Allow the pie cool to room temperature, or if you are hangry you can put it in the fridge to cool it quicker. Once cooled, cover the top of the pie filling with the rest of the banana slices.

Once the filling is covered with banana slices evenly put the whipped cream over and spread to cover the pie evenly. To finish the pie properly I like to garnish it some of the leftover banana slices by placing them overlapped in the centre. If you have some dried bananas that works too adding some nice crunch to those lucky enough to get a piece

I love bananas, so any dessert with them in is of interest to me. This one even more so, because of its health benefits and inusual combination of ingredients.
