Introduction

Digestion began in the mouth and the stomach. The intestines are also active in the digestive process. After digestion, the stomach and the intestines get dirt over-night. It is your duty to keep the sludges out. Again certain diseases like constipation and diarrhea due to irregular eating. Lemon water therapy can offer a remedy. Here I will show how.

Lemon Water Therapy

Traditional medicine men of Japan recommended drinking some warm water very early in the morning. This is before you drink a cup of tea or coffee, or eat your breakfast. Drink two to four glass of warm lemon water before your breakfast of fish chop or vegetable fruit salads. You are not forced to drink a liter. Why? This is to flush and cleanse your digestive systems. The food sediment that remains over-night carry with it some ailment. I usually squeezed a lemon into my warm morning water.

In addition, I pinch salt into my glass of warm lemon water. This balanced the sugar-salt in the juice. Otherwise, urination becomes challenging. The frequent passing out of urine can result in dehydration.

Target Diseases

There are many digestive diseases of the bowel. Here I will discuss the below four and offer a remedy.

  1. Constipation.
  2. Diarrhea.
  3. Hiccups.
  4. Dehydration.

Constipation

It is estimated 70% of the human body is made of water. If the water level falls, it is a sign that sickness can begin to set in. In a list of what causes constipation, "not drinking enough fluid (water)" is marked. However, it is noted by F. Daniel and others that when the colon or large intestines absorb more water from the stool passing through, feces become hard and dry. This is a sign of serious constipation. But regularly drinking lemon water in the morning can prevent and help alleviate the symptoms.

Lemons contain fibers. The fruit has a high level of vitamin C and citric acid, and also folate, potassium, and flavonoids. They are alkalines. They further contain micronutrients and B-complex. This help pH balance of the body. The hydrogen ion index (pH) ensure that not much water is absorbed or removed by the intestines during digestion. This prevents constipation.

A piece of the whole lemon will give you all the daily recommended allowance of vitamin C.

Constipation can be caused by more than one cause of not drinking enough fluid. Drugs stones or oxalates are causes. But the lemon water therapy will help dissolve the stones specific and other side effects of medication like calcium or iron supplements.

Diarrhea

Diarrhea is soft watery stools frequently passed out of the bowel. It leads to the loss of water from the body. When this happens three or four times in the day, then diarrhea is suspect and confirmed. The person becomes weak, and lethargy. This can lead to fainting. Medical doctors and health workers recommended that you take an oral rehydration solution. Add one teaspoonful salt to 2 cubes of sugar in a 100 cl bottle of water. Drink the fluid. This action retained the body.

This can give some relief. However, warm water 150 cl can go with two or three lemon fruits. Prepared this as a juice. Drink the remedy to solve the problem naturally. Eating lemon fruits regularly helps likewise.

Sometimes, no cause is found and the diarrhea disease just goes away.

Lemons have sufficient electrolyte water at most 90%. This along with other nutrients like folate, dietary fiber, vitamin C, and citric acid prevents the disease of diarrhea from occurring. Naturally, if you have diarrhea, lemon water therapy is well advised because it contained natural organic fruit juice in dilution.

Nevertheless, when diarrhea is caused by viruses or bacteria, medical intervention becomes a necessity.

Hiccupping

Eating too fast will chock you. You start hiccupping to check the challenge. Drinking rapidly your carbonated drinks or cold water causes the same problem. Sipping a cup of water slowly solves the issue. And of course, if you drink the water too fast, the problem persists for some time.

Lemon water therapy prevents the disease of hiccuping to set in. The natural composition of lemon is mostly 89% or 90% water.

Drinking hot water or sucking fresh lemon fruit helps. it is best you crush the lemon fruit into your warm water, or you take on lemon water therapy regularly every day morning and noon, whether you are sick or not. Just two or three glasses is all that you need before your breakfast.


Dehydration

In the tropics and other hot climates, people sweat a lot and loss water from the body. This had to be replaced. But some persons hardly have done so. During exercise regimes likewise, loss of water from sweating is common. All this dehydrate the body. Drinking lots of water are common as a result. Many resorts to sports or sugary soft drinks that further increase the loss of water from the body, via, urination because the sugar-salt balance in the bloodstream is now upset. Hence, the loss of too much water via, urination after taking a soft drink. Here lemon water helps, by putting back lost water into the body.

Making Your Lemon Water

Make your lemon water at home instead of buying the same in drug stores. Homemade lemon water is healthy and fresh. It is cheap and delivers the best benefits.

Ingredients

  1. Three fresh lemon fruits
  2. Warm water for dilution 150 cl.
  3. 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Implements

1. Fruit Knife.

2. Jug.

3. Electric kettle.

4. Plastic cup.

5. Bottle for the finished product.

Some Implements

Instructions

  • Wash fruits in clean running water.
  • Peel fruits and cut into two halves.
  • Squeeze the lemon juices into a plastic cup and cover it.
  • Connect electric kettle to AC current, or warm water in a kettle on heat.
  • Do not boil it hot, just warm water, or steam it and allowed to cool to a temperature of 2oC. Pour it into the bottle and add the lemon juice and salt. Shake well.
  • It is reading for drinking.

Take 2 glasses at first and relax. Then, after about 5 or 10 minutes drink a glass again. Repeat until all the liquid in the bottle is used up.

During the day, you may feel thirsty. Just go for ordinary fresh cool water. You can slice a piece of lemon into the glass of cool water.

Conclusion

Drinking lemon water early in the morning on waking up from sleep is good. As a whole, you should drink 5 or 6 glasses of lemon water in a day if you are extremely active to avoid dehydration.

Hello, Pamela, thanks for commenting and weighing in. At certain conditions of hot weather, a person always detests water at room temperature. I am not exempted. So, I open my freezer and pour out a glass of cool and refreshing water sort the heat. When I returned from my jogging workout, cool lemon water is at hand for me. No person will like to drink water at room temperature or slightly warm at such times. But exemptions can be made for persons with a stomach ulcer or pain.

Why is lemon out of your reach? Did you detested lemons because of their acidity or are you allergic to the citrus fruit? An alternative can be the grapefruit for it is less sour. Many thanks again, and enjoy the weekend.
