Living a low carb diet can be difficult, especially since certain satisfying good groups have to be drastically reduced. If you love your low carb lifestyle but you miss eating foods like crunchy potato chips. There could be a tasty solution for you, there are low carb potato chips available on the market however, they may not always be to your liking. Not to worry, you can make your own at home, with one simple ingredient. Cheese.

Here is what you need:

Block of hard cheese like cheddar or parmesan cheese

Sharp knife

Chopping board

Parchment paper or non stick baking try

Baking tray

Take your block of cheese and cut it into slices, about half an inch thick. Once you have cut them into slices, cut them into smaller squares, about the size of a dime piece.

Preheat your oven to it's highest setting.

Place your cut pieces of cheese on a non-stick baking tray with or without parchment paper. Parchement paper makes it easier for you to remove them. However, I have found they work just as well with a non stick backing tray or cake tin.

Place your cheese in the oven on the middle shelf.

Leave it in there for about seven minutes, they should start to bubble and melt. Once the cheese looks a little bit brown on the edges, flip them over with a pallet knife.

Leave them in there for about three to four minutes. They should be golden brown and crunchy.

Remove them from the oven and leave them to cool on a serving tray. Remove the excess oil with a paper towel.

Once they are cool, eat and enjoy, if you want to flavour them you can sprinkle black pepper, chilli powder or anything you fancy on them. Bare in mind that cheddar cheese can be quite salty so they work well without anything at all.
