We've been hearing this word for centuries, but how many of us do anything to make our minds beautiful. We wake up in the morning and get busy looking beautiful, but we never think about beautifying our mind or soul. True beauty is not possible if both body and mind are not beautiful.

Have you seen the skin of a worried or sick person? The reason is obvious that a person with this mental burden produces stress hormones. Which take away the radiance of the skin. Due to this the skin becomes dry, lifeless and wrinkled. So, the wealth of beauty lies in both mental and physical health.

If the mind is not beautiful, the external beauty is hollow. The world is crazy about external beauty, and so they are unhappy. Because external beauty is short-lived. External beauty dries up like a dry leaf with age, and inner beauty increases with age.

Keeping the mind beautiful requires more than a few cosmetics. Here is a list of items for your psychological decor.

  • Write 100 Words A Day On Positive Thinking:

The human mind is an uninterrupted fountain of thoughts, both good and bad. Write down whenever you have any thoughts in your mind. Keep a small diary, or use an app on your mobile phone. Make it convenient to write ideas. Whenever you have time, go through them and consider every thought. Choose a positive thought from the day and write 100-150 words in it. It won't take more than 20 minutes, so you don't have to make any changes to your routine.

  • Be Careful What You Eat:

Eat foods rich in Sattvic and vital energy. You need protein, vitamins, calcium and many other nutrients. It keep your brain active and healthy. Eat fresh, natural and nutritious food. Make no exception unless it is a lifestyle choice, or your doctor has advised you not to eat it.

  • Smile, lots:

Don't laugh at people, smile with them. Stay positive and look for fun moments and don’t be afraid to smile. Some will envy you, some will bark, some will laugh! Laughter triggers a chemical reaction in your body that releases dopamine hormone. Laughter lowers stress and blood pressure. It keeps the heart healthy and strengthens the immune system.   • Be Physically And Mentally Active:

Would you like to play Sudoku or Crossword? It's not too late to start. Start with simple puzzles. Go to a children's store and try some puzzle books. You can never imagine how satisfying it is for your brain to find the answer to a puzzle. Playing chess and other board games also works. Don't spend all your time solving puzzles, take some time for exercise and workout.

  • Don't Say Negative:

The world is full of negativity, but it also has positives, learn to look for positives. Stress, anxiety, meaningless criticism,

Comparison and anger - all these are detrimental to the beauty of the mind. When faced with such situations, deal with them positive way.

  • Sleep Well:

The brain is a powerhouse of activity. So, even when you're not working or doing something challenging.. your brain is still working and trying to take care of things. Thus, the brain demands some rest. Get yourself at least 7 to 8 hours of nap every day. Some people get less sleep than others, but you should not forced to stay awake. Like watching movies, parties or TV programs, don't force yourself to stay awake.

  • When Did You Meditate ?

Meditation is like sunlight for a sunflower. It 'awakens' your mind. You don't have to be an expert. Sit in a quiet, comfortable position and focus your mind on your breathing and how your mind moves. That should be enough to attract your attention.

  • Don't Cover Up Your Feelings:

Many of us are afraid of self-expression. If you have an idea, or you want to say something, express yourself. To make matters worse, your opinions will not heard, but it is better to keep your thoughts to yourself. But sometimes it is better not to talk or, in this case, it is better to have a notebook.
