Use Magnesium

The most popular supplement, in today's world is magnesium, and do you know why? simply because it is a stress reliever. Lack of magnesium in the body, is a contributor to stress and anxiety, and consumption of magnesium is best to treat this condition.

Magnesium does help the brain to increase concentration and calm down the excited activity, therefore relieving stress. (Source)

Magnesium also helps in restricting stress hormones, avoids the brain to stress more than we need to. Other benefits of magnesium are

Nature and Prayer

Spending time in nature and prayers, are two very powerful ways to relieve stress, and believe me I do both, and they really help me to clear out my mind, they keep me calm, and there is something magical in these practices that give me a good sense of well being.

Meditation and praying are proven effective stress relievers that help people deal with worry, problems, anxiety and finding peace of mind and feeling well every single day. The best part is that its free and can be done at any time, and you do not need a doctor, therapist or anyone, you just need to sit, relax and meditate or pray.

Going out in nature also helps very much to relieve stress. Being in nature, increases pleasant feelings and reduces anger and depression. Nature exposure not only soothes the anxiety and makes you feel better emotionally, it also contributes to your

  • physical well-being,
  • reducing blood pressure,
  • heart rate,
  • muscle tension,
  • and the production of stress hormones.

Many scientific studies have proven that green color in nature helps us calm down and act as natural stress reliever.

5-HTP is a fabulous stress reliever, it acts upon our brain and central nervous system to produce more Serotonin.

Serotonin is very important neurotransmitters, that plays an important role in happiness and well being, it can help in better sleep, appetite, temperature, sexual behavior and even our perception of pain and above all stress. (source)

  • reduce depression
  • improve sleep.

Believe it or not but one of the best stress relievers, is exercise, as it releases powerful endorphins, chemical in our brains that act as pain killer and mood relievers.

There are scientific studies about the relationship between exercise and stress, which says that people who are inactive seem to have more exaggerated reaction to stress.

Regular exercise is protective as it regulates many metabolic, psychologically, and other processes in human body. Most of us can experience how regular exercises give us a sense of relaxation and calmness right after doing it. Regular exercise helps to,

  • control weight
  • combat health conditions and diseases
  • It improves mood
  • It boosts energy
  • It promotes better sleep

Lettuce Tea

Most people must have never heard about this natural remedy. If somebody is dealing with insomnia, lettuce tea is very beneficial for treating it. If you cant get a proper sleep, you will feel stressed.

It has been used for thousands of years, as a natural remedy for insomnia, stress and anxiety. It is very popular in Chinese and European culture, because it has sedative effects on body, it helps in reducing stress and get a good sleep.

To make lettuce tea, you need 2 cups of water and 4-5 lettuce leaves. In a pan add 2 cups of water and bring it to boil, and then add lettuce leaves to the pan. Allow it to simmer for 20 minutes or till the water gets half in proportion.

Try it before going to bed and you will be amazed by its results.

B-Complex Formulas

B-complex formulas are one of the best supplements to fight off stress. When somebody feel stressed, releases hormone cortisol, which is the primary stress hormone, also responsible for fight or flight response.

This hormone provides energy to respond to such situations that are might perceived as dangerous , but what happens when you never use that energy, it is stored in the body being converted into fats.

B-complex formula regulates the production of cortisol and protects the body against its effects. It also activate the parasympathetic nervous system, the part of nervous system responsible for body's relaxation and rest, so it deals with both things very effectively.

B-complex vitamins are often used to boost mood and reduce fatigue. Some studies claimed that B-complex vitamins can lift your spirits and improve performance.

A clinical trial undertaken on 200 people, in which they were given B-complex for 6 months, resulted in improved cognitive performance of the participants. (source)

B-complex also helps to prevent infections and helps in

  • cell health
  • energy levels
  • good eyesight
  • healthy brain function
  • healthy appetite
  • proper nerve function
  • growth of red blood cells
  • good digestion, and many others.
