Nowadays, everyone is so busy running in a race which has no end. With the increasing competition, people are so busy in following hordes for success, that they even neglect their own health issues, especially mental health. Though mental health issues develop in few persons, but everyone feels worried, anxious and low from time to time.

Travelling is one of the adventurous ways to relieve these Mental health issues. After-all, it is not just about reaching your destination. When you travel, you experience all the amazing and life changing things that changes your perspective.Travelling is not just good for mental health but also for emotional health.

Travelling to new places can help you to reinvent and re-evaluate yourself. When you travel, you experience all the amazing and life changing things that you don’t experience at home. These experiences and choices make you who you are, what you want to be and not what people want you to be. Travelling all by yourself to different countries, explore you to different cultures and let you survive in conditions you are not use to and hence, can expand your mind in a way you have never realized is possible. Travelling can also give you a fresh start in life and helps in recovering your mental health.

Sometimes our soul just wants a little uplift, to relax and have fun in the middle of a hectic schedule. There are times when we need to go on a trip either alone or with family and friends to create happy memories with our loved ones. Travelling is one of the ways to relieve stress and take a break from work. Go and explore as many places as you can because you can always make money, but you can’t make memories and can’t reverse the time, once it’s gone, it is gone for forever.

“Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer.”

Just go relax your mind by visiting some peaceful places with beautiful dusk and dawn, hills and oceans or any other place you know about that makes you comfortable. Book your tour and plan your trip, don’t let your harsh thoughts eat you from inside. Do things that makes you happy.

By facing difficulties in an environment, you are not familiar to and living among new people can force you to adapt to a life that's out of your comfort zone. This makes your life more flexible, and in turn you will become more patient and emotionally strong. Travel makes you to surrender your control to the uncontrollable and helps you to deal with larger issues in life with more grace and patience. You will see your life with a new perspective and will be able to accept all the ups and downs that comes with life. Personally, travelling taught me to accept situations more calmly and to attach less to things. Bottom line is that the more challenges you will face, the better you'll get at overcoming hurdles of life easily and eventually become more resilient both mentally and emotionally.

4. Enhances creativity

Travelling also enhances the depth and integrity of thought, consequently giving a boost to your creativity. Multiple studies have shown the connection between creativity and travel. Although, it's important to engage with the local culture of that place to stimulates creativity, just visiting a new city or a country isn't going to work. Additionally, travelling also improves your productivity, problem-solving skills and even increase your chances of getting promotion at work.

All the fresh air and warm sunshine will increase the flow of blood in your veins, giving you more energy and will ward off all your stress, depression, and anxiety. Even a short trip or a small walk can increase the amount of oxygen you intake and will recharge you.

Very true. A local trip to the country or coast without catching a plane or train can be very relaxing.

You are right, travelling itself is stressful sometimes and yup long queues and flight delays can be bothersome for Faint hearted people but they can go to some nearby places or can have a walk or can go to parks to get some fresh air. It is not necessary to go abroad or any other country. It totally depends on a person.

I agree with you and I think it depends more on a person and his mental condition. For some, a small walk does the miracle whereas some people need to go on places far from their current, just to figure things out. You are totally right, it's just about changing your environment and experiencing new things.

Travelling is definitely good for mental health, however, you don't have to go far afield to reap the benefits. A simple trip into the countryside or a walk along a beautiful beach can also be as stimulating. I believe its more about changing your environment whether abroad or at home and experiencing something new that makes the difference. Great article with good advice.

I agree with much of what you say for being away from the routines stresses of everyday life. However, the travel process itself can be very stressful. Travelling by air with queues and delays at check-in, going through security and waiting for late flights is not for the faint hearted. Driving on unfamiliar roads in a hire car is also high on the stress list. But give me a peaceful foreign location with beautiful sites to visit or a pool/beach with a sun lounger and a good book and I'm happy.
