Using Neti pots is quite simple. Fill the pot with a mixture of salt and warm water. Tilt your head to the side and pour the solution in one nostril until it flows out the other. Repeat it on the opposite side. Simple, isn’t it?
PS: If Neti pot is not available, you can use saline spray as an alternative. But for me, however, I recommend using Neti pot as it works better than saline.
# Peppermint Tea
How to get rid of allergies fast without medicine? A cup of peppermint tea may help! It contains anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. And according to my naturopathic doctor, peppermint’s essential oil acts as a decongestant.
You can make a tea by adding ½ ounce dried peppermint in one-quart jar and then filling two-thirds of the jar with boiling water. Steep it for five minutes. Strain and then drink it. For greater effects, you can inhale the steam.
How to get rid of pollen allergies without medicine? Some years ago, my naturopathic doctor suggested eating raw honey produced by bees in his patient's local region to relieve allergic symptoms. He explained honey is made by bees from flower blossoms. So if you eat a tablespoon of honey three times a day, your body will gradually become desensitized to pollen allergens.
Some experts may not recommend this method as there is not enough research. But for me, it’s worth a try. Some people showed improvement after eating raw local honey.

You can buy herbal supplements at health food stores or pharmacies. Simply follow the directions on the package or ask your naturopathic doctor for the dose.
A warning word: If you are pregnant or nursing women, don’t use any of goldenseal preparations.
# Licorice Root
How to get rid of cat allergies without medicine? If you have a problem with cat allergies, you can try licorice root.
Some good studies revealed that licorice root contains glycyrrhizin that has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties.
Taking the pill form of supplements containing extracts of licorice root every 3-4 hours during allergic reaction can help getting rid of the discomfort due to allergic symptoms.

A lot of good information. One supplement I use is quercetin with bromelain - it stops hayfever attacks instantly. Like taking an antihistamine, only totally natural and no side effects. Voted up.
