They say that crystals have healing powers and that is certainly true. Crystals can be bought cheaply on Amazon or in crystal shops. Crystals are amazing and come in a variety of colours. There are many varieties, some are hard to find and others are easier to find. Today, I will be focusing on three of the most common semi-precious stones you can find:
- Rose Quartz
- Tigers Eye
Each crystal has a special power. For example, Tigers Eye protects you from bad omens or Turquoise protects you from air pollution and pollution in the environment. The good thing is that these crystals can be kept in your pocket or worn as jewellery so that crystals powers can be used in the body. Just to let you know, this is not a scam and is used by crystal healers all over the world. Crystal healing is an art and you can take part in it too. Even if you are not interested in using the crystals for healing, you can still use them for jewellery or as gifts and truly are beautiful. You will learn about their healing powers, looks, where to buy and how to use them in crystal healing.
The first we are going to look at today is Tiger's Eye. It can be bought smooth and tumbled such as the one to the right or rough, straight from the Earth. Personally, I prefer the tumbled version as it is smoother and more beautiful but that decision is entirely up to you. It is banded and is brown to gold in colour. It is shiny and almost imitates that of a real tiger's eye.
Properties: Tiger's Eye helps with treating the eyes and is helpful for healing broken bones. It helps you differentiate from what you want and what you really need. If you find that you are a compulsive buyer and you cannot resist buying things that you don't really need, bring a Tiger's Eye with you in the shop in your pocket. Tigers Eye helps you feel good in your own skin and helps with depression and low-self esteem. It balances yin and yang to help you lift your mood when feeling down. It helps you to achieve the goals that you want. This stone is very powerful and must be used for short-bursts. If you feel attacked emotionally by other people, Tiger's Eye will help block out those thought out of your mind and helps you feel stronger. It helps you to seek clarity in your life and how to structure you life again. It helps you to concentrate during tough situations and gives clarity, when you seek it. Overall, Tiger's Eye helps you with your mental and emotional health and spirit.
Other forms of Tiger's Eye include Blue Tiger's Eye which dissolves frustration or Red Tiger's Eye which increases motivation.
How To Use: Experts suggest wearing a tumbled, Tiger's Eye as a pendant on your chest. Or, you can keep a Tiger's Eye in your pocket now and again when feeling in need of an emotional boost.
The second is Rose Quartz. Pink in colour, and can be bought raw or tumbled/polished. It is very easy to find and is very commonly used in jewellery making. It is a truly beautiful stone and depicts an amazing colour. This stone is one of the most powerful stones there are. Here are some of its healing properties.
Properties: It purifies the heart and mind, and opens up the heart. It draws in and dispels negative energy and gets rid of it, leaving only good energy in your home and everything surrounding it. It leaves you feeling refreshed and happy, and placed beside your bedside helps you to sleep better at night, leaving you feel energized when you wake up. Holding Rose Quartz in your hands, it helps heartache and comforts your fatigue. This stone also helps you to love yourself, and to trust yourself and turns any hatred vibes into loving ones. It balances the emotions and is nurturing and very calming.
Physically, Rose Quartz helps to strengthen the heart and also aids kidney and respiratory problems. It helps you with vertigo and soothes nasty burns.

Last but certainly not least is Turquoise. Certainly the correct name to use for this beautiful stone, Turquoise is a very common semi-precious rock to find. It is hard, cool and very refreshing to look at, this rock is one of a kind and has an aqueous feel to it.

It seems that there are simple (short) ways of 'turning' your crystals, and there are harder (long) ways of doing it. Also, the proper word for 'turning the crystal into...' (which I could not remember) is 'programming'.
The simplest way which I saw when I scanned the books is by holding the stone against your third eye, closing your eyes, and concentrating on what you want. The other ways involve meditation, chakras and such.

I would have to find my other book, or books, and read up on that again. I simply remember reading about being able to turn Clear Quartz into other crystals, at least for certain lengths of time. I realized that I have Green Quartz on hand so I did not need to do what I intended, but as soon as I refresh my mind, I will post it in this Hub.

Thank you for taking the time to read this hub and for the awesome comment! I am glad that you carry crystals around with you, they really are amazing aren't they?
How would you turn one of your clear crystals into a turquoise? I would love to find out how to do so!
The Examiner-1 on June 14, 2013:
I just read you crystal Hub and I found it interesting. I think that I will read my crystal book so I can 'turn' one of my clear crystals into a turquoise stone (temporarily).
I carry various small crystals, I have been for a while.
