Starting the Day Off Right
Successful and productive days can be hard to come by, especially in these days of remote working and learning. However, spending just ten minutes each morning doing these steps can improve your whole day.
You won’t need much to start. This routine is all about altering minor details in order to become more productive throughout the day. Here’s how to do it:
1. Drink water
As soon as you wake up, have a glass of water. Your body is dehydrated from sleeping all night, and drinking water can give you that boost you need.
2. Make your bed
This is an important step. Each morning when you get out of bed, make your bed. Doing something productive in the morning can motivate you for the rest of the day. You’ll also be less inclined to climb back into it.
For just one minute of the morning, sit in silence and do some breath work. Meditation releases things like oxytocin and serotonin, which will give you a great boost to start your day with.
Your body is tired from sleeping all night. Spend one minute stretching those muscles out; your body will thank you.
Spend one minute writing down everything that you’re grateful for. This can include your dog, your family, or even that awesome breakfast you’re about to eat.
6. Eat a great breakfast
This is the final and most important step. Whether it be a fruit smoothie or some scrambled eggs, eat a breakfast full of goodness. Eating healthy foods in the morning can give your body that energy it needs for the rest of the day. Cut out things like sugary cereal; it’s doing nothing for you!
