9 Precious Tips To Help You Get Better at Exercises

Tip # 1 – Always Begin by Warming up

Regardless of the type of exercise you do, you must start each session by properly warming up your muscles. Try doing some stretching of your body before you start any exercise. This will help prevent damage to your muscles and will improve your blood circulation. It will also give you a good workout for your heart. Do not spend too much time warming up, since it will leave a little time for you to exercise.

Tip #2 – Make a timetable for your exercises.

Just as you would fix an appointment with your dentist or for a specific meeting, try to fix a certain time for your exercise in your daily schedule. Every one of us is busy. Even if we get a certain time, we are so busy taking care of others that we find it difficult to give ourselves time to relax. If you make exercise a part of our daily to-do list, then we are more likely to do it. Some of you may have a set time each day to exercise, but others may have varied periods each day for varying lengths. Just figure out the ideal timing for yourself. If you find exercising alone dull, invite a friend to join you. Just remember that your main goal should be to complete it.

Tip #3 – Try to do something you love doing.

Exercise should not be done just for the sake of doing it. Exercising does not mean giving a lot of time at the gym, just to lift weights. It also does not mean that you should spend money on all of the latest-looking equipment. Each and everything that you do to move your body is a better form of exercise. Walking is a very good exercise that you can do anytime, anywhere, and in any climate. Some other easy-to-do favorites may include riding a bicycle, dancing, weight lifting, swimming, gardening, playing your favorite game, cleaning your house, or even playing with your children. These things can be done easily without hampering your daily routine.

Tip #4 – Don’t make exercising boring.

If you do anything repeatedly, you start feeling bored. The same is the case with exercising. If you get bored while exercising chances are that you may likely discontinue it. So before you start feeling bored, try to change it. If you are feeling bored with cycling, try walking. If you feel bored doing bench presses, try doing some other exercises for your chest. Just go for playing football or cricket and if you enjoy doing this try to join a team.

Tip #5 – Remember that Exercise Can Rejuvenate

You may feel tired initially, but just give it a try anyway. You will be astonished at how energized you will feel while and after doing it. Exercise is a very good stress reliever, and you will be surprised to know that stress is one of the biggest energy-sappers.

Tip #7 Another great belief:

No pain, no gain. If you are feeling pain, it means that there is something wrong with your body. So don't disregard this. Whenever you exercise too much, you will feel discomfort physically, and there will be a need to overcome it. A good example of this would be training for a marathon. Significantly, you get basic training before going for advanced training. Basic training improves your body and makes it ready for more rigorous training. You should develop the technique of reading your body. Try to note that you are breathing heavily because you are working out too much, or is it an indication of the beginning of a heart attack? Exercise is very important. But if you do it correctly, you will be able to do it for the rest of your life.

It is not a big thing to get yourself hurt after an exercise, but it should be done slowly with a rest in between. There can be two common problems which can happen when you are beginning exercise. You may cause long-lasting damage to the muscles, ligaments, or tendons if you continue working out while you are in pain without giving adequate rest for your muscles to heal. You will feel long-lasting and constant pain if you do this, which shows that you will not be able to exercise anymore.

So, when you wake up the next morning, and you find that you can hardly get your body out of bed because of the pain your body is feeling, you will be less motivated to exercise from that moment onwards. Soreness will just spoil your exercise program.

Tip #8: A Common Mistake:

We sacrifice quality for quantity. Whenever you are ready to increase the number of reps of a specific exercise and strengthen the related muscles, instead of doing a little more of the exercise each time, you try to lower the number of repetitions in a set but increase the number of sets. Or you may even back off to half of the number of repetitions; instead you add a few more sets. In this way, you will feel less tired and will gain strength in your fast-twitch muscles.

Tip #9. A Common Myth:

Training with weights makes a woman bulkier. It is false. Weight training for a woman will make the muscles stronger and tone them, burn excess fat and increase metabolism rather than add mass. Apart from this, women do not produce much testosterone to build muscle mass as men do.
