Deborah is a writer, healer, and teacher. Her goal is to help people live their best lives every day by sharing her joy and love of life.
Evaluate Your Progress
As you move forward toward your goals, take time to evaluate your progress. After a month of hard work, where are you now? Are you in the same place, treading water? Have you gone backward, finding yourself farther from your goal? What progress have you made toward living the life you desire?
Remember, you are not a victim of your life, of your circumstances, or of the people around you. You are the creator of your experience, the master of your destiny!
Don't Give Up
Step By Step
Change takes time. While you may not see any major improvements in your circumstances, if you are consistently working toward the direction of your dreams, you will make progress.
Change doesn't happen all at once (usually). It takes place in the daily decisions you make to choose again. You decide to make a different choice, and you do something new.
Whether your goal is to lose weight, save money, be kinder, write a book, whatever your goal, the outcome is the result of small daily actions. Each day, commit to doing something new, something different, or something better than the day before.
In the article, "60 Small Ways to Improve Your Life in the Next 100 Days," the author suggests that it takes 100 days of consistent practice to turn small steps into great habits. And with that, you can change your entire life.

A series of choices brought you here, wherever you are today. Different decisions will bring change, and change takes place one decision, one step at a time. Because change is a gradual process, it's important to remember to celebrate even the small successes.
Every Step Counts
Small Milestones Create a New Path
It's important to celebrate the small success you achieve on the path to your goals. Change takes time, and small milestones create a new path for your life. Rather than awaiting a momentous occurrence, recognize the daily choices that create a statement of who you truly are.
Once you decide to change your life, that decision changes everything. Once simple decision to do things differently creates a shift in energy, which propels you forward. You release the victim and blame mentality and embrace the role of creator of your greatest experience.
When you change your mind, then you change your world. Put your energy into creating something new, rather than fighting the old way. Every day, take time to acknowledge and honor the choices that help you live the life you truly desire.
Change Your Mind, Change the World
A New Expression of Your Truth
Each time yo think a new thought, speak a new word, or act in a new way, you successfully step toward a fuller expression of your truth.
It can be discouraging to stand at the base of a mountain and see how far you have to climb. Whether your mountain is a lot of weight to lose, a lot of debt to pay off, a huge project to finish, whatever your particular mountain looks like, it can seem overwhelming at first.
Glance toward the mountain top, and remind yourself of the path you have chosen. Now, focus on the path beneath your feet. Do one thing today to take you toward your vision. One thing. Take one step, and then another, toward your destination. One step at a time.
Along the way, be sure to stop and look up to make sure you're still heading in the right direction. Then, before you take another step, look back at how far you've come. Don't get discouraged by those who've already gone before you, or those who pass you along the way.
Life is not a race to the end. It is a daily journey. Enjoy the process of living your life. Take comfort and pleasure in your journey, and encourage those you encounter. Don't judge or condemn others who are on their own path.
Eventually, as you carry on, in the direction of your dreams, you'll discover that life is beautiful. Celebrate the steps you take today, and don't lose heart. Keep moving forward toward the fullest expression of who you truly are. As you keep making a new decision, you'll discover that you are living the life of your dreams.
