An excellent article on the ergonomics of chairs. I make Windsor chairs and adjust the angle of the back, the height and the size of the seat to "fit" my customers. Before I retired to full time chair making I was a health care consultant and used a custom made Windsor at my own desk to sit comfortably for 12 hours a day! There's nothing like a chair that fits!

I like this hub as I have been thinking might need a new desk chair. The one I have is well made but starting to show some wear.

Great hub. Often we don't pay attention to our chairs, tables etc., when bashing away on a keyboard despite the high risk of repetitive stress injury. Hubs like this remind us how to take care of ourselves and do something about it before we get a painful injury. Thanks for the great information.
