Cucumber

First, you need a cucumber. Cucumber is an awesome ingredient for weight loss. In fact, it’s one of the healthiest foods in the world. It’s high in fiber and alkaline. Thus, it can flush out the unwanted fat and toxins away from the body. Also, it’s a low calorie food. So you don’t have to worry if you feel like eating it.

Lemon

Second thing you need is lemon. “Why lemon?” you might ask. Lemon is an excellent source of Vitamin C and dietary fiber. Vitamin C serves as an antioxidant. It removes the harmful chemicals inside the body and it makes the skin glow. And just like cucumber, it also has low calories.

Lime

Lime is the next ingredient for this cheap yet effective weight loss drink. And like lemon, it’s a low calorie food that’s rich in fiber and vitamin C. Lemon works well with lime but if there’s no lime available in your area, you can use oranges.

Mint Leaves

Another ingredient you need is mint leaves. Mint produces a cool flavor and it also serves as a diuretic. Diuretics can accelerate weight loss because they promote the excretion of water from your body. If there are no mint leaves available in stores near you, you can always use mint extract.


Water

Lastly, you need water. As obvious as it is, water is a healthy ingredient that hydrates and cleanses our body.

Now, here’s how to make this drink:

  • First wash the lemons, lime, mint leaves and cucumber
  • Next, peel off the lemons and lime then slice them into thin pieces.
  • Then, slice the cucumber into pieces.
  • Now, put the lemons, lime, mint leaves (or mint extract) and cucumber in the pitcher of water and then stir.
  • After that, refrigerate for at least 5 hours. But if you want your drink to be tastier, you can refrigerate it overnight.
