Here are the top YouTube workout video instructors.
While some people prefer to go to the gym to complete their workout, others find getting to the gym or paying for a membership, can be time, location and cost prohibitive. Working out using YouTube videos is free and available to anyone. If you are committed to staying in shape, as I am, then it pays to be flexible and open to different sources for your workout.
Many Options but Little Quality
YouTube videos have been my fallback method of exercising for years, there are so many types of exercises that you can find on YouTube. Along with the typical yoga, abdominal workout and boot camp type of options, there are also less common choices such as Tai Chi, HIIT and hiking the mountains of the Swiss Alps. And, yes, I have tried these as well as many others. But, while there are so many options to choose from, the quality is often lacking. There are a low percentage of YouTube exercise videos that are of great quality and because of this, it may be hard to stick with your workout plan.
Best YouTube Exercise Instructors
There are however three YouTube video instructors that I have found that are phenomenal and because of this, I would like to share them with you. I would like to save you the time and frustration of searching for a workout video that will give you what you need, and better yet, they may be better than expected.
Tanju's Dance Workout
The first instructor is Tanju Koc, when I first found his video workouts, I was so impressed that I thought I died and went to workout heaven. He is so smooth, ‘he moves like butter’, his instructions are so easy to follow that the workout experience is like a dream come true, like floating on a cloud, with music. He has that certain ‘Je ne sais quoi’, he seems to jump off the screen and enter your room with the most positive energy possible. He is really like none other, there is no substitute for Tanju.
He is a Zumba teacher originating from Germany who has videos on two separate YouTube accounts. He regularly posts new videos mostly by himself and sometimes with other participants, I prefer the videos that he films solo. He has been teaching Zumba since 2012. Even if you have never done Zumba before, this is a 'must try'!
Highlights: easy to follow, supportive, encouraging, amazing to watch, excellent music
Level: Tanju’s workouts are for beginners through intermediate
Equipment Needed: None
Type: Zumba is a cardio and toning class that combines dance and fitness moves. Dance styles include a combination of hip hop, Latin and Bollywood.
Boho Beautiful Pilates Yoga Workout
The next instructor goes under the name “Boho Beautiful” but her real name is Julian Smenova. I first came across Boho Beautiful workout videos when I was trying add Pilates to my workout regime and while Juliana is an expert on Pilates, she has since become my 'go to' instructor for yoga and quick short workouts that utilize a hybrid of exercise types. She is well versed in a variety of exercise methods. She must have hundreds of workout videos filmed from a large variety of exotic places, which are simply stunning to behold. Juliana is a former rhythmic gymnast who, it seems, was able to transfer her athletic skills into the exercise arena. She has teamed up with her boyfriend who has a professional music and video background. The end result is far greater than the sum of its parts. She has videos for all levels and thanks to Boho Beautiful, my yoga skills have increased by leaps and bounds and I now teach yoga to my kids.

Level: Most of the Boho Beautiful workouts are intermediate, but there are some beginner workouts too.

Type: Yoga, Pilates and toning.
Isaac Caputo aka Isaac Boots
Last but not least is Isaac Boots. Before I found Isaac, I didn’t know that there were people even like him. He is a phenominal, one of a kind human. He sends so much love and support through the screen that you might start to believe that he is your long lost kindred spirit. As a former dancer, he is very much about proper form. This is one of the first things that drew me to him, as a dancer myself, I know the value of good form. Good form means holding your body, especially your torso and your head in the correct position, so that, once accomplished, everything else flows from that. It is often the difference between a good and superb dancer. While this might not seem as important if you are just trying to stay in shape, it can make a difference in how you hold your body throughout the day. Using good form helps keep you in line even after the workout is complete. When I follow Isaac, I also find my best form.
Your 15 Minute Dancer Body Workout with Isaac Calpito
He has a workout called Torched, which is an ingenious name, because he works you hard and you can feel the burn, but the name makes it sound like a party, not simply a “no pain, no gain” situation. He finds the sweet spot between making you feel connected, pushing your body to the limit and loving what he does. He has the kind of charisma that transcends and radiates through the screen and yet he is humble at the same time. He is a former Broadway dancer and a present day choreographer for music artists such as Ariana DeGrande and a personal trainer to the stars.
Isaac Boots Highlights: Encouragement, great music, enthusiasm galore, excellent dancer’s form
Level: Isaac’s workouts are advanced, beginner and intermediate viewers can workout for part of the class and work their way up each day by adding more time to their workout.
Type: Full body toning with weights
Equipment needed: hand towel, hand weights, ankle weights, wrist weights, floor mat and stretch bands

These three fitness gurus are like modern day Roman Gods. They have taken their genius talent and are able to share this with you through the magic of YouTube.
