Stale chapati soaked in milk is considered to be highly beneficial for diabetic patients for maintaining their blood glucose level. The glucose present in chapati, as chapati becomes rancid, the beneficial bacteria present lowers down its glycogen content .

Stale Chapati Noodles :

Ingredients -

  1. Stale Chapati - 2 to 3
  2. Edible Oil - 3 teaspoon
  3. Vegetables of Your Choice : A cup of carrot, spring onion, French beans, cabbage, capsicum.
  4. Garlic Cloves - 2 to 3
  5. Onion - 1
  6. Green Chilli - 2 to 3
  7. Soy Sauce - 1 tsp
  8. Vinegar - 1tsp
  9. Tomato Sauce - 2tsp
  10. Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  11. Salt as per taste.

Instructions for Cooking Stale Chapati Noodles

  • Tightly roll the chapati and cut in long thin strips / noodles.
  • Heat 3 tsp of edible oil in pan or wok and add garlic cloves and slated green chili.
  • Sauté all desired vegetables for around 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Add 1tsp of Soy sauce, 2 tsp of tomato sauce, 1/2 tsp of Vinegar , 1/2 of sugar and salt as per taste.
  • Add stale chapati strips and mix well.
  • Serve with spring onion ,as per your linking as meal or snacks.

Stale Chapati Poha

Ingredients for Stale Chapati Poha :

  1. Stale Chapati - 2 to 3
  2. Edible Oil - 3 tsp
  3. Peanuts - 2 tsp
  4. Green Chili - 2 to 3 finely chopped
  5. Tomato - 1 large
  6. Coriander - finely chopped.
  7. Curry Leaves - 4 to 5
  8. Onion - 1 cup
  9. Turmeric Powder, Cumin Powder, Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  10. Salt to Taste.

Instructions for Chapati Poha :

  1. Grind chapati in small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in pan and roast 2 tsp of peanuts.
  3. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves and let it cackle.
  4. Add onion and let it fry till golden brown.
  5. Add green chili, turmeric and salt to taste.
  6. Mix chapati flakes and add coriander leaves.
  7. Use it as breakfast meal or as snacks.

Stale Chapati Sandwich

Ingredients for Chapati Sandwich :

  1. Chapati - 2 to 3
  2. Corns - 1 cup
  3. Onion - 1 cup
  4. Capsicum - 1/2 cup
  5. Carrot sherds - 1 cup
  6. Mozzarella Cheese - 2 cubes
  7. Tomato Sauce - 2tsp
  8. Chaat Masala
  9. Butter

Instructions for Stale Chapati Sandwich :

  • Apply Mozzarella cheese on chapati.
  • Add all wash veggies, sprinkle some chaat masala and close the sandwich chapati with adding mozzarella cheese.
  • Add 1/2 tsp of butter, fry chapati sandwich.
  • Serve with tomato sauce.
