• Pure Olive Oil
Its name clearly indicates that it is pure but this type of oil is not completely pure. It is a mixture of extra virgin or virgin olive oil with a refined olive oil. When it is heated it has a distinct aroma which is not appetizing therefore it is not preferred to use pure olive oil for cooking. However, this oil can be used for hair, scalp and skin.
• Refined Olive Oil
This type of olive oil is extracted from black and ripe olive fruit. Refined olive oil has the least amount of nutrients, vitamins and is commonly available in grocery stores. It is inferior regarding to taste and flavour. It can be used for cooking.
• Pomace Olive Oil
The another type of olive oil available in market known as the pomace olive oil. This type of olive oil is the lowest quality olive oil and is considered good for cooking. Pomace olive oil is extracted from the residue left after the fruit is pressed.
